Ibara Obami is a tall guy from the Obami family’s branch house in Kakegurui. He looks scary at first with his thorn-like headband and a collar around his neck, but he is actually kind and easy to talk to. Ibara is loyal to Rin Obami and is willing to take any risk for him. Because he cannot lie at all, he always felt like an outsider in the Obami family that relies on tricks and scams. However, Rin created a place where Ibara doesn't have to lie, and Ibara is deeply grateful for this. Even so, Ibara sometimes worries if Rin is lying to him. In the "Greater Consolidation" gambling event, Ibara tried to use his honesty as a weapon, but lost in the end. He also appears in the anime’s second season, joining the 100 Vote Auction with a tablet for bidding.
