A black-haired girl with natural bob-cut hair and glasses. Gentle and quiet, she was a library committee member on Earth. She acts as a restraint for her impulsive best friend, Suzu.

However, that is just a facade, and her true nature is selfish and cruel, harboring an abnormal affection and obsession for Kouki.

Since her time on Earth, she has been scheming to win Kouki over and became friends with Suzu to get closer to him. She also secretly instigated Hajime to pair up with Kaori. Normally, she refers to herself as "I," but after revealing her true nature, she switches to "I" (masculine).

When she was six years old (five in the web version), her father died protecting her from a car accident, and her mother, who loved her father, changed drastically from that day, turning abusive. Eri endured, believing her mother would return to her kinder self, but at eleven, her mother brought a man home, shattering Eri's belief by revealing her true nature of needing any man for support. When the man tried to assault her, he was arrested, but her mother's fury at Eri for "stealing the man" completely broke her. In despair, she tried to commit suicide by jumping into a river, but Kouki, who happened to see her, spoke to her. Overwhelmed by his persistence, she distorted the truth, and Kouki, feeling sympathy, promised to protect her, causing her to develop an abnormal affection for him. Later, when a child welfare officer suspected abuse and came to investigate, fearing losing contact with Kouki, she and her mother pretended to be close, which terrified her mother and reversed their roles. However, Eri was dissatisfied that Kouki casually said the same thing to everyone else and became obsessed with making him hers alone.

Her vocation's spirit medium magic, which she claimed to be not very skilled at, actually perfectly manipulates the deceased's residual thoughts and memories, allowing them to respond to some extent with a technique she developed called "Bound Souls."

After being summoned to Tortus, knowing that Hiroyama had attacked Hajime with a fireball, she blackmailed Hiroyama into making him obey by offering Kaori to him. After learning of Hajime's survival, she secretly allied with the Majin tribe and helped destroy the great barrier. With Noint's help, she secretly turned the slain Meld and other 500 knights into puppet soldiers using "Bound Souls."

During the royal capital invasion, she cunningly lured Kouki and others into a trap, restraining them with puppet soldiers to showcase "Bound Souls" by killing Kondo. However, her attempt to use spirit medium magic on the slain Kaori was thwarted by Hajime. She unleashed puppet soldiers including Meld, but Hajime instantly annihilated 300 of them, and she was nearly killed but was saved by Hiroyama and Freed's interference, retreating with Freed and the remaining 200 puppet soldiers.

After retreating, she resided in the Demon Kingdom Garland, creating "Corpse Beast Soldiers" by incorporating monster traits into the puppet soldiers. She also transformed herself into a monster-like form, enhancing "Bound Souls" to be usable on the living. She ambushed Hajime and others with Freed and the Apostles in front of the Ice Cave, taking them to the Demon Kingdom Garland, where she brainwashed Kouki and took him to the Divine Realm.

When Hajime and others invaded the Divine Realm, she confronted Shizuku, Ryutaro, and Suzu with Kouki and "Corpse Beast Soldiers," and after a fierce battle, was defeated by Suzu. Seeing Kouki freed from her brainwashing and in despair, Eri activated a self-destruct artifact, ending her life in front of everyone. However, in her dying moments, she expressed gratitude to Suzu, saying, "Being with Suzu was the only time I felt a bit at peace."
