Rouge Redstar is the main character of Metallic Rouge. She is a special type of artificial human called a "Nean." Although her real age is only 10, she looks about 17 years old. As an agent for the Intelligence Department, she fights against the Immortal Nine and the alien "Usurpers" by transforming into a red, armored combat form called Metal Rouge. Rouge loves chocolate more than anything, even more than luxury goods. She does not have a Code Eve like the Immortal Nine, but she has a unique "Final Code" used to activate Code Eve, making her a target for various powerful groups. Rouge is loyal to her brother Jean Yunghart and her creator, Roy Yunghart. At first, she finds it hard to make decisions on her own but grows to act with her own will as the story goes on.
Rouge Redstar is a young girl with long black hair and a single red streak.
She has a slim build, and her looks suggest she is about 17 years old.
She often wears off-shoulder clothes, showing her thin shoulders.
When she transforms into her battle form, Metal Rouge, she looks like a slender, red demon.
This form is streamlined with a feminine shape, designed for fast and strong fighting.
Rouge acts much younger and less mature than she looks because she is actually only 10 years old.
She is inexperienced, sometimes gets confused with social situations, and is not good at handling many people.
Rouge can show childish sides, such as refusing to share her chocolate, but she also has a kind heart and will help others in trouble.
She is deeply loyal to her brother, Jean Yunghart, and follows his instructions without question.
She also cares about Roy Yunghart, her creator, and supports Jean’s quest for revenge.
Rouge is used to following orders and has trouble making big decisions on her own.
Through new experiences, she learns to choose her own path and act from her own will.
Rouge is a Nean, an artificial human created by scientists.
She became an agent for the Intelligence Department, trusted with missions that require her to defeat enemies using her special abilities.
Rouge is not one of the Immortal Nine and does not have a standard Code Eve.
Instead, she secretly has the “Final Code,” which can be used to activate Code Eve.
This makes her very important, and many groups want to capture her for this reason.
Rouge can transform into her combat form, Metal Rouge.
In this form, she uses amazing physical strength and skill to fight enemies up close.
Her main fighting style focuses on martial arts and close-combat techniques.
She has sharp claws that can pierce even the armor of other Neans.
She can also create and shoot glowing cross-shaped energy blades and make swords of the same energy from her arms.
Later in the story, after absorbing Naomi Orthmann’s ID, her fighting abilities change and grow.
Her new form is mostly white, inspired by Naomi, and she gains new powers like creating energy shields for defense.
Rouge is very close to Jean Yunghart, her boss and also like an older brother to her.
She trusts him deeply and follows his orders without doubt.
She also feels strong respect and care for Roy Yunghart, the scientist who made her.
Rouge even helps strangers, such as saving a girl who was about to fall off a vehicle.
She learns to share, even when it is hard for her, like offering chocolate that she usually wants to keep for herself.
Rouge loves chocolate passionately—she would pick it over fancy items any day.
She sometimes acts immature, especially around chocolate.
She has trouble understanding complicated advice or situations, often needing guidance.
First Missions and Chocolate Troubles
In the second episode, Rouge gets into a silly situation on a bus on Mars.
She notices a girl who wants her chocolate and quickly eats it all, not wanting to share.
This shows her childish side and her deep love for chocolate.
Trouble with Decision-Making
Rouge doesn’t always understand advice or new information well.
For example, when trapped on a spaceship with a shape-shifting killer, she can’t figure out the best way to find the suspect.
Instead, she suggests hitting everyone in the group one by one.
Even when told not to, she politely bows and starts knocking people out with body blows—and even punches a man in the face for saying something rude!
She kicks a Saint Bernard dog too, ignoring the owner's protests, because she’s looking for the killer.
Luckily, the killer was disguised as the dog, so her unusual way worked.
Growth and Final Struggle
As the story continues, Rouge learns and grows from her experiences.
She discovers her real purpose: her ID was hidden by Eva Cristella to help free all Neans from Asimov Code control by decoding Code Eve.
This secret makes her the most important target for every major group in the story.
In the last part of the story, Rouge loses her own ID in a battle over Code Eve.
She replaces it with Naomi Orthmann’s ID, gaining new powers and a white-color battle form.
Though Naomi’s ID was not made for fighting, Rouge adapts to it and becomes even stronger, able to make energy shields for protection as well as blades for attack.
Rouge becomes more independent and starts to make important choices by herself, no longer following orders blindly.
