He was tasked by the NSA to capture Alice and attacked the "Ocean Turtle," taking over the main control room. However, due to the "RATH" staff locking external interference with the UW, he infiltrated the UW as the Dark Territory Emperor with the super account 04 "Dark God Vecta." From a young age, he had a strong obsession with the "soul," and in his quest to understand its location, he killed his girlfriend Alicia Klingerman (voiced by Ai Kayano) at the age of ten. As an adult, he continued to secretly commit murders under the guise of experiments. Upon learning of Alice's existence, he became interested in her and planned to monopolize her by feigning a failed operation. Ultimately, he aimed to gather many souls in the virtual world and make them his own. Displaying the overwhelming authority granted to the Dark God Vecta account, which allowed "interference with the dynamic data of Fluctlights," he led the Dark Territory army to invade the Human Empire. Upon confirming Alice's presence, he immediately slaughtered the Dark Territory army, kidnapped her, and rushed to the system console. Although he overpowered Bercouli, who pursued him, using a combination of authority and Incarnation, he was defeated by Bercouli's Memory Release technique. After logging out, he immediately converted Subtilizer from GGO and re-dove, attempting to steal Sinon’s soul, but was thwarted by her Incarnation-infused necklace. Despite losing his right arm and sustaining fatal injuries, he continued to obsessively pursue Alice. Just before catching up, he engaged in a final battle with Kirito, transforming into a jet-black monstrous form by manipulating the power of Incarnation. However, he was defeated by Kirito's sword, which was empowered by the thoughts of the people in the UW. After being expelled from the UW, he was dragged by Alicia's phantom and died with the emotion of "fear" he had sought plastered on his face.
