A boy who is a high-ranking member of the Prince's organization. Like Lydia, he has the ability to interact with fairies but surpasses Lydia in terms of ability. The first Ulysses was a descendant of the illegitimate child of Julius Ashenbert, the last historical Blue Knight Earl from three hundred years ago. In the Earl's household, only the descendants of the illegitimate children had their magical power sealed, which usually faded as they grew. However, in the absence of a legitimate heir, a descendant of the illegitimate children would be chosen to inherit the title of Earl. A hundred years ago, the legitimate bloodline ended with Gladys. Despite being born with an aquamarine, a condition for entering the Fairy Nation, no one came for him from the Earl's family. When he fell ill at twenty, he arrived at Lioness, where he learned that he also needed a sacred sword to gain the compass to the Fairy Nation. Without the physical strength or time to search for the sacred sword and in a desperate situation, Ulysses was saved by the Prince. The Prince lifted the seal on his originally innate magical power, enabling Ulysses to obtain a new body through his nephew. The Prince aimed to gather those with the Earl's abilities to obtain "Freya" (Fluorite) and to eradicate all other descendants of illegitimate children to terminate the Earl's line. However, Ulysses, whose life was saved by the Prince, pledged loyalty to him and worked as a close aide despite being his supposed enemy. The second Ulysses, who met Edgar while with the Prince, encountered the Merrow when he went to retrieve the sacred sword. However, he could not understand the final meaning of the riddle in the poem and was dragged into the sea and killed by the Merrow. The current Ulysses in the form of a boy also had his original self attacked by the Prince. Nonetheless, the boy's consciousness persisted, and he revived his beloved sheepdog as the black fairy dog named Jimmy, keeping him by his side. Due to the initial Ulysses's influence, he showed a profound obsession with the Fairy Nation and expressed his desire to see it destroyed for not accepting him as an Earl. When Edgar, the Earl's heir, entrusted him with a bow and arrow, which only Ulysses could use to save the Fairy Nation, Ulysses reluctantly accepted. As the dragon resisted the spell of the arrow, fireballs rained down. Jimmy, now reduced to a soul, stood before Ulysses, but prompted by his regret for failing to protect Jimmy when he was a sheepdog, Ulysses shielded Jimmy, sacrificing his life. Subsequently, his body was laid to rest in the Fairy Nation's cemetery but was witnessed wandering by the Merrow. This was because the soul of Lydia's unborn child temporarily inhabited the body to protect his parents and fulfill the prophecy of the McKeel clan. Ultimately, the child's soul was freed from the evil fairy's magic, returning Ulysses' body to a mere corpse. He was then buried as a member of the Ashenbert family per Edgar's decision.
