He holds the belief that the most important thing for a hero is "passion," and he intensely disliked Endeavor and his son Shouto Todoroki, who are on the opposite end of personal grudges (he didn't go to U.A. because he was ignored by Shouto during the recommendation exams), but he revises his view of them through the provisional hero license exam.
