Akina was inspired to pursue voice acting after her brother encouraged her to study the craft—especially after her playful imitations of characters from "Doraemon" and "Pretty Cure" impressed her family.

At 14, she rose to local fame by winning the Sendai regional contest at the 4th All-Japan Anison Grand Prix, showing both her vocal prowess and stage charisma.

She attended Clark Memorial International High School's Akihabara IT Campus, specializing in voice acting and broadcasting, which provided her a solid foundation in the industry.

Akina officially debuted as a voice actress in 2012, voicing multiple roles in "Binbogami ga!" and the character Aya Ohno in "Girls und Panzer".

Her career quickly took off with significant roles as Kii Saegusa in "Aikatsu!", Kohane Azusawa in "Project Sekai", and Duramente in "Uma Musume Pretty Derby".
