Asaka

Asaka spent her early childhood (ages 3 to 8) in Michigan, USA, because of her parents' work.

After returning to Japan, she lived in Tokyo for two years before settling in Nagoya.

Her exposure to American culture gave her fluent English skills and a unique perspective growing up.

She became fascinated by anime in the 5th grade after watching the ending dance from "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya."

During her first year of junior high, a music teacher’s encouragement inspired her to pursue singing.

Asaka started off participating in karaoke contests and auditions while in junior high.

After passing her training school's audition, she made her radio debut and later her professional music debut in 2016 with "Open your eyes," the ending theme of "Occultic;Nine."

From there, she maintained a steady stream of anime and game song releases, including popular tie-ins for "Yuru Camp△" and "Higurashi: When They Cry – Gou."

She released her first album "HEART TOUCH" on her 20th birthday and performed her first solo concert while still in high school.

Her powerful vocals and genuine, otaku-themed stage presence quickly gained her a following.

In addition to singing, Asaka debuted as a voice actress in 2024, voicing Espoir City in the game "Uma Musume Pretty Derby" and joining the anime "Utagoe wa Mille-Feuille" as Zoe Delny in 2025.

Asaka participated in the NHK anime song karaoke competition and reached the finals at a young age.

She has performed on the coveted Animelo Summer Live stage and appeared in numerous successful live performances, tours, and music festivals.

Many of her singles have charted in the Oricon rankings, and she released a popular photo book for her 20th birthday.

She is also recognized as the image song singer for Green Channel’s 30th anniversary and other tie-in projects with anime, games, and racing communities.

Asaka has cited May'n as a major inspiration, having told May'n personally she was her goal during a singing contest.

She looks up to fellow singer Konomi Suzuki, who is both a mentor and friend.

She shares a close friendship with Minori Suzuki, also from Nagoya; the two bonded over their similar hometown roots and early event experiences.

Asaka is known for her love of anime, cosplay, karaoke, English, and stylish nails.

Before becoming a singer, she aspired to be an interpreter and attended an international secondary school, which strongly influenced her English fluency.

Her dad inspired her love for horse racing, and she now regularly buys tickets and actively attends races, especially drawn to the horse Efforia and jockey Takeshi Yokoyama.

She’s also passionate about mahjong, a hobby she picked up from online play with her dad during his overseas postings.

Despite her fame, Asaka is down-to-earth and maintains a personal connection with fans, both in person and online.
