Active in the industry since 2013, her career began under the name "Yuuko Okui" with her debut in the anime film adaptation of "Hakuouki." She has voiced various roles in TV anime and games, but also shines as a passionate storyteller about mummies and ancient civilizations. Okui is currently signed with Dax Production and continues to evolve as a unique and dynamic figure in voice acting.

From a young age, Yuuko Okui was described as bright and mischievous.

Her fascination with ancient history began in high school, when a lesson introduced her to a photo of a mummy that captured her imagination instantly.

Inspired by her engaging world history teacher, she decided to major in history at university.

She holds various qualifications, including a high school geography teaching license, automotive license, kanji proficiency, secretary certification, and a museum curator license.

During her first year of college, a friend invited her to a student theater performance, sparking her interest in acting.

In her second year, she started attending a voice acting school in Osaka while pursuing her university degree.

After obtaining her teaching license, Okui moved to Tokyo upon graduation to pursue voice acting professionally.

Okui passed the Voice Acting Proficiency Test (Level 2), debuting in 2013 with the anime film "Hakuouki: Kyoto Ranbu."

She looked back at her first recording session as intense but fulfilling, especially since she had long been a fan of "Hakuouki."

Initially active under the name "Yuko Okui," she later transitioned to "Yuuko Okui."

In 2014, she had her first TV anime appearance in "Mikakunin de Shinkoukei" as a female student, a milestone that earned positive feedback from family and friends.

In 2016, she was cast in "Sansha Sanyou," another project based on manga she personally enjoyed.

Notably, Okui lent her voice to the character Rein in the "Ameiro Cocoa" series and appeared in titles like "Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san," "Houkago Saikoro Club," and more.

Her game credits include roles in "Shooting Girl" and "Death end re;Quest 2."

As of February 28, 2025, Okui left Azlead Company and joined Dax Production, marking a new chapter in her career.
