Yurika Endou

Yurika Endou was born on June 24, 1994, in Tokyo, Japan.

During her high school years, she joined a light music club and loved singing anime songs, which became her gateway into the entertainment world.

She participated in "All Japan Anisong Grand Prix" in 2012 while still a student, showing her early passion for anime-related performances.

Yurika's professional journey kicked off in 2012 after winning the "2nd Pony Canyon Voice Tama Grand Prix Audition."

She formed the unit "YURI*KARI" with Karin Takahashi, her co-winner from a previous audition.

Their major debut came in April 2013 with the ending song for the anime "The Severing Crime Edge."

Yurika debuted as a voice actress in the anime "Ace of Diamond," playing the character Haruno Yoshikawa.

Her breakthrough as a solo artist arrived in February 2014, when she released her first solo single "Monochrome Overdrive," produced by HISASHI from GLAY, used as the ending theme for "Z/X IGNITION."

Throughout her career, she played numerous notable characters, including Aina Mikage in "Z/X IGNITION," Tanako Kujirai in "Majimoji Rurumo," Risa Imai in the "BanG Dream!" franchise, and Nozomi Momijidani in "Angel’s 3Piece!"

Besides voice acting, Yurika performed as a singer, DJ, and bassist in various projects, including being a member of the band "Roselia" from the "BanG Dream!" multimedia franchise.

She contributed to a range of character songs and music projects associated with her roles, demonstrating a remarkable versatility.

In December 2017, due to ongoing health issues, Yurika announced her decision to retire from all entertainment activities by May 2018.

She performed her final live event, "Emotional Daybreak," in June 2018, marking her official departure from the industry.

Interestingly, post-retirement, a few unreleased songs were quietly recorded, one of which became the main theme for the game "World Flipper" in 2019, marking a touching encore of her impact.

Growing up, Yurika mainly watched mainstream anime, with "Fullmetal Alchemist" leaving a lasting impression.

She later discovered a love for late-night (deeper) anime, particularly "Steins;Gate."
