Aura Bella Fiora is the Guardian of Nazarick’s Sixth Floor, a vast artificial jungle environment filled with dangerous monsters and magical beasts.

She is one of the few humanoid-race residents of Nazarick, which is otherwise dominated by heteromorphic beings.

She was created by Bukubukuchagama, a popular voice actress in the original game world, who often voiced “loli” characters in adult games.

Because Bukubukuchagama and her younger brother Peroroncino often bickered like siblings, that dynamic was reflected in their creations.

Aura’s younger twin brother is Mare Bello Fiore, who was also created by Bukubukuchagama.

The pair are explicitly set as twins, with Aura as the elder sister and Mare as the younger brother.

She is designed as a “cute girl” concept with a cross-dressing twist, and her creator also gave her a “tomboyish” or boyish outward presentation for fun.

Despite her apparent age being around 10, her lore age is 76, consistent with elves’ long lifespans.

Among the Floor Guardians, Aura’s standout trait is not raw personal combat strength, but her ability to command an army of high-level magical beasts.

Within her jungle territory, she is considered the most dangerous at orchestrating group battles and ambushes.

Aura behaves like an energetic, high-spirited child, often compared to an enthusiastic puppy in how she runs around, talks, and reacts.

She is cheerful, straightforward, and openly competitive, but also capable of being surprisingly level-headed and socially adept.

Compared with many other Nazarick denizens who are extremely cruel or fanatically devoted, Aura is considered relatively gentle and “healing” in Ainz Ooal Gown’s eyes.

Together with Mare, she softens the otherwise harsh atmosphere created by characters like Demiurge or Shalltear Bloodfallen.

Despite this warmth, Aura still possesses the casual cruelty and arrogance typical of Nazarick’s inhabitants.

She often regards people outside Nazarick as toys or inferiors and can make ruthless decisions toward enemies without hesitation.

Her view of humans is similar to Lupusregina Beta’s in thinking they are “interesting playthings,” but she is less inclined to actively torment them for fun if Nazarick’s interests are not involved.

She does not openly flaunt contempt or treat outsiders with the same rough disregard many others do, which makes her seem relatively approachable.

Because she is fundamentally kinder and more socially aware, enslaved elves under her protection come to genuinely like and trust her.

Dwarf craftsman Gondo Firebeard, who is normally wary of Nazarick’s monsters, is able to relax around her as well.

Aura very rarely makes major mistakes, and her behavior is generally thoughtful and controlled.

For this reason, Ainz Ooal Gown holds both Aura and Mare in particularly high regard among his subordinates.

In volume 15 of the light novel, when Ainz imagines who he would want as his superior if he were a subordinate himself, he overwhelmingly chooses Aura and Mare first (with Cocytus next).

He views them as ideal leaders because of their reliability, fairness, and low likelihood of reckless cruelty.

Aura’s relationship with Shalltear Bloodfallen is shaped by their creators’ sibling rivalry and Peroroncino’s written setting that “Shalltear and Aura do not get along.”

In practice, they bicker and quarrel frequently, but the dynamic is more like that of close sisters or long-time frenemies than true enemies.

When Shalltear is brainwashed and forced to stand against Nazarick, Aura is outwardly composed but is deeply hurt, second only to Ainz in emotional impact.

During the battle to save Shalltear, when Ainz hesitates in a critical moment, Aura intervenes by using her abilities to disrupt Shalltear’s actions, saving Ainz from a dangerous position.

Aura scolds Shalltear afterward for causing such trouble, yet she clearly cares about her.

She sees Shalltear as a “somewhat incompetent younger sister” she naturally ought to guide and help.

This belief surfaces again in volume 11, when Ainz sends both Aura and Shalltear to accompany him to the Dwarf Kingdom.

Aura carefully reins in Shalltear’s impulsiveness, preventing her from repeating past mistakes and thereby helping her redeem her honor.

When Albedo and Shalltear compete fiercely for Ainz’s affection, Aura usually stands off to the side, watching with an exasperated neutrality.

However, on the way to confront the “Giant of the East” and the “Demon Snake of the West” in the Great Forest of Tob, Ainz offhandedly tells Aura, “I really like you,” which flusters her badly.

From that moment onward, Aura starts to become much more conscious of Ainz as a man and master.

By volume 10, she even ends up clashing with Albedo over whose lap Ainz should rest on, signaling that she has entered the competition for his attention.

Despite her love of magical beasts, Aura dislikes grotesque insect-type monsters such as Kyouhukou and the Gluttonous Fox-Dragon King.

The latter’s domain, the “Great Pit of Gu,” is so repulsive to her that she hesitates even when Ainz orders her there, usually delegating any necessary visits to Mare.

Overall, Aura mixes childlike brightness and playfulness with a quiet maturity, making her one of the most “normal” and relatable beings in Nazarick.

Yet she is still loyal to Nazarick’s ruthless ethos and shows no mercy to its enemies.

Aura looks like a boyishly dressed girl of about ten years old, despite being 76 by lore.

She has short, neatly cut golden hair ending around her shoulders, long upward-pointing elf ears, and lightly tanned dark skin.

Her eyes are heterochromatic: one is green and the other is blue, giving her a striking appearance.

Her physique is petite and childlike, fitting her role as a “cute” character design rather than a voluptuous one.

Her usual outfit is a tight-fitting light armor set made from red-and-black Dragon Lord scales, worn over and under leather armor pieces.

Over this, she layers a vest and pants-style white clothing, with the guild’s insignia displayed on her chest.

On her feet, she wears athletic shoes reinforced on top with plates of the rare magical metal Hihiirokane alloy.

Her hands are protected by gloves with metal plates of magical metal on the backs and other key spots.

Around her neck she wears an acorn-shaped necklace, a communication magic item shared with Mare.

Aura’s is gold-colored, while Mare’s matching version is silver.

According to comments from the author, in a few hundred years her elven body would mature into an adult beauty with a bust so impressive that even Shalltear would be envious.

For now, however, she retains the appearance and mannerisms of a lively child.

Aura’s official position is Floor Guardian of the Sixth Floor, the “Jungle.”

Her main responsibility is to defend this floor using guerrilla tactics, traps, and hordes of magical beasts.

Because she is a high-level ranger and beast tamer, she specializes in scouting, tracking, ambushes, and controlling terrain during combat.

She is ranked sixth among the Guardians in terms of “signature specialty,” often described as “strongest in group battles.”

At Ainz’s command, Aura constructs an emergency refuge inside the Great Forest of Tob, often referred to as a “fake Nazarick” or emergency base.

She manages not just its construction, but also the concealment and layered defenses that make it difficult to discover or penetrate.

As the Sorcerous Kingdom grows, Aura is tasked with building a vast surveillance network using beasts across its entire territory.

Her scouts, monsters, and skills together form a large-scale early warning and intelligence system that few enemies could bypass.

Because of her reliability and balanced disposition, Ainz often calls on Aura when he needs knowledge about forests, monsters, or beast-related topics.

He also entrusts her with missions requiring subtlety and coordination rather than brute force.

Aura is one of the rare Nazarick residents who can interact relatively smoothly with outsiders.

This proves useful for diplomatic or cooperative missions, such as dealing with enslaved elves, dwarves like Gondo Firebeard, or foreign envoys when intimidation is not the sole objective.

Aura’s personal combat power is considered relatively low among the Nazarick Guardians, ranking second-worst, stronger only than Demiurge in pure direct fighting terms.

However, this comparison is misleading, because her true strength lies in commanding packs of high-level magical beasts.

She can control up to around 100 magical beasts at once, including several around level 80.

Through her skills, she can temporarily boost the levels of these beasts from around 80 to approximately 90, dramatically increasing their threat.

In a jungle environment, where line of sight is limited and ambushes are easy, Aura’s coordinated beast attacks can overwhelm even extremely powerful foes.

It is said that even Shalltear Bloodfallen, one of the strongest Guardians in direct combat, could be pushed back if left isolated in Aura’s jungle and swarmed by her monsters.

Aura’s synergy with Mare is especially terrifying.

Mare, who has very high destructive magic and battlefield-control power, can reshape the terrain while Aura’s beasts harass, surround, and pick apart the enemy.

Their combined group-warfare potential is considered among the absolute best Nazarick can field.

Together, they embody the “jungle war” doctrine of attrition, ambush, and overwhelming numbers.

Beyond beast command, Aura is also a high-level ranger specializing in detection, tracking, sniping, and stealth.

She is skilled enough that, when Ainz uses the highest-level invisibility spell “Perfect Unknowable,” she can still “somewhat” sense where he is, even if not precisely.

This detection ability is not on the same level as dedicated seeker-type specialists like Nigredo or Nuabo, but it is extremely high by normal standards.

Her perception, coupled with her scouting skills, makes her an excellent forward observer and recon leader.

Aura is also a master archer.

In volume 14 of the light novel, she casually shoots the head of an Adamantite-ranked adventurer with an instantaneous, almost invisible arrow described as “god-speed.”

Her ability to combine archery with her Beast Tamer skills and crowd control allows her to influence battles from long range.

She can pin down enemies, mark targets, or apply buffs and debuffs over long distances using unique class skills.

In the web novel version, it is explicitly noted that Aura’s repertoire of spells is not extremely large.

However, she is still able to use magic all the way up to the highest tiers available in that world.

Aura uses a mix of ranger skills, beast-taming abilities, and a small set of magic and special techniques.

Below are her notable abilities, compiled from the novels, drama CDs, and web version.

Detection and Support Skills

Level-Detection Skill (tentative name)

In the drama CD “Sealed Evil Tree,” Aura uses a skill that lets her see an opponent’s level as a color.

This ability also allows her to gauge HP, making it perfect for scouting enemies and prioritizing threats.

Sky Eye

This is a Ranger class skill.

It allows her to monitor or observe areas up to roughly 2 kilometers away, functioning as a remote surveillance sense.

Stamina-Boosting Skill (tentative name)

Used in the “Sealed Evil Tree” drama CD on Hamsuke.

This skill temporarily increases the target’s stamina, letting them keep fighting, traveling, or working much longer.

Concealment-Enhancing Magic (tentative name)

Aura uses an unnamed spell to increase stealth performance, demonstrated when cast on Mare.

It likely boosts hiding, noise reduction, and perhaps anti-detection elements.

Simple Healing Magic (tentative name)

In the web novel, Aura can use a basic healing spell.

It can heal injuries to a degree but is not powerful enough to restore mutilated body parts, such as the mutilated ears of slave elves.

Offensive and Control Skills

Various Magical Beast Aspect: Eye of the Catoblepas

In the web novel, Aura uses a power sometimes referred to as “Various Magical Beast – Eye of Catoblepas.”

She transforms her own eyes into those of a petrifying monster, granting her a gaze attack that can turn targets to stone.

Shadow-Binding Arrow

In the “Sealed Evil Tree” drama CD, Aura uses “Shadow-Binding Arrow” to immobilize the giant evil tree Zaitl Kwai.

This attack pierces and pins the enemy’s shadow, preventing them from moving, though the exact mechanics and limits are not detailed.

Immovable Shackles

Another skill she uses in the same drama CD to support Demiurge in combat against the evil tree.

It appears to be a binding or restraint effect, helping allies by limiting enemy movement.

Rain Arrow

Known as “Rain Arrow,” used in the “Sealed Evil Tree” drama CD and the game “Mass for the Dead.”

In the drama CD, this skill is powerful enough to shave off a part of Cocytus’s armored carapace, demonstrating significant physical damage potential; in the game, it manifests as a barrage of splitting light arrows that damage all enemies.

Weather-Manipulating Magic (tentative name)

In the web novel, Aura uses an unnamed magic similar to druidic weather control.

She can call forth rain or wind to influence the battlefield or environment.

Beast Tamer Exclusive Abilities

Breath

This is a Beast Tamer class skill unique to tamers.

It allows Aura to emit a “breath” that can grant multiple buffs and inflict multiple debuffs simultaneously.

The ability can also manipulate the emotions of those affected, such as provoking them, calming them, or influencing their attitude.

Normally, the Breath’s effective range is only a few to a few dozen meters around the user.

Aura, however, is able to combine Breath with her shooting skills to project its effect onto a pinpoint target up to about 2 kilometers away.

She can even use it effectively in dense forests full of obstacles, using her archery as a carrier or targeting method.

In the story, she uses this Breath-based technique to lure out Hamsuke.

She also uses it to hinder Shalltear’s actions at a critical moment, saving Ainz during their battle.

Other Notes

Aura sometimes uses unnamed spells or skills that increase stealth, restrain enemies, or support allies’ stamina.

Many of these are only partially described in drama CDs and side media, but collectively they emphasize her role as a controller and support commander, rather than a brute-force caster.

Aura’s gear is tailored to mobility, beast-taming, and mid-to-long-range combat.

She also carries a few unique items gifted by Ainz Ooal Gown or linked to her creator.

Weapons

“Stab to Your Heart” (bow)

This is a huge, heavily decorated bow with elaborate designs on the handle, rim, and grip.

It first appears in volume 14 of the light novel and was later named through a collaboration with the game Chain Chronicle.

The bow’s actual combat performance is high enough to complement Aura’s incredible archery.

Visually, it has a strong presence and fits her showy, beast-commanding style.

Shining Bow (tentative name)

Before heading to a dark elf village in volume 15, Ainz gives Aura a new bow.

Within the game Yggdrasil’s standards, it is not among the strongest items, but Ainz notes that its appearance or “flashiness” is probably among the top tier.

Queen (whip)

Aura’s beloved whip is named “Queen.”

She wears it coiled at her waist and right shoulder, using it as both weapon and symbolic tool of a beast tamer.

Armor and Clothing

Light Armor (Dragon Lord Scales)

Aura’s primary armor consists of lightweight leather armor reinforced with red-and-black scales taken from a Dragon Lord.

This armor offers high defense for its weight and lets her move freely through the jungle.

Gloves with Magic Metal Plates

Her gloves feature metal plates made of magic metals on the back of the hand and other critical spots.

These improve her defense and likely enhance her grip on weapons and reins.

Hihiirokane Alloy Athletic Shoes

Aura wears sports-style shoes with plates of Hihiirokane alloy embedded on top.

This rare material is highly durable and magical, protecting her feet while preserving agility and speed.

Accessories and Special Items

Acorn-Shaped Communication Necklace

Aura wears a golden, acorn-shaped necklace that functions as a paired communication device.

Mare has a matching silver version, forming a set.

These necklaces are legacy-grade items in Yggdrasil terms and have some quirks.

They take two days of continuous wearing before their effects activate, which is one reason Aura and Mare wear them constantly.

To start communication, the user must grasp the top part of the acorn while using its function, limiting use in combat or emergency situations.

However, once those conditions are met, the necklaces allow essentially unlimited communication between the pair, a powerful long-term coordination tool.

Watch with Creator’s Voice

Aura owns a watch-like item with a band resembling an iron plate, given to her by Ainz as a reward starting from volume 4.

The watch contains a recorded alarm voice from her creator, Bukubukuchagama.

It possesses ten hidden voice lines, some of which are comedic or risqué.

In the web version, if activated repeatedly, it plays a gruff line along the lines of “Hey! Don’t keep pressing it over and over!”

Other hidden lines include a cute “big-brother” style line in a little girl’s voice and one labeled “Chu-pa” that is likely suggestive.

In the print novels, Aura is not aware these hidden voices exist, as Ainz considers them bad for her “education” and warns her not to set the alarm at times like 7:21 or 19:19, where “Chu-pa” would presumably play.

Aura commands numerous magical beasts, estimated around 100 in number.

Many of them are individually high-level monsters, making her army as dangerous as any elite adventurer party or even higher.

Below are the best-known creatures she tames and uses in battle.

Favorite and Signature Beasts

God-Hunting Wolf (Fenrir)

Aura’s favorite beast is a black giant wolf described as a “divine beast.”

Its personal name is “Fen,” and it has a level of 78.

Fen has wet-looking black fur and blazing red eyes that radiate high intelligence.

It serves as a powerful front-line combatant and symbol of Aura’s status as a master tamer.

Sun-Mane Lizard (Itzamna)

Another of Aura’s favorites, nicknamed “Cuadracil.”

This upper-class beast looks like a fusion of a chameleon and an iguana, with six legs.

Its scaly skin can rapidly change color, giving it advanced camouflage abilities.

This makes it ideal for ambushes and stealth operations in Aura’s jungle, though its exact level is not specified.

High-Level Offensive Beasts

Thousand-Spear Needle Rabbit (Spearniddle)

This level 67 beast resembles a cute Angora rabbit at first glance.

When it fights, its fluffy fur transforms into sharp needles covering its whole body.

Once in this spiky state, even if it is killed, the fur does not revert to its fluffy form.

To harvest its soft fur, Aura must kill it in one surprise blow before it stiffens, making it a classic “adorable but deadly” creature.

Dragon Kin (Dragon-Kin)

These level 55 beasts have bodies around 3 meters tall, resembling a cross between a human and a dragon.

They lack wings but possess scales harder than steel.

They wield thick, heavy sword-like weapons and have enormous physical strength.

Their combination of massive HP and brutal strikes makes them dangerous even to high-level opponents.

Rainbow Tyrant King (Iris Tyrannus Basilis)

This level 71 monster looks very similar to a Tyrannosaurus rex.

Its name derives from the seven-colored dorsal fin that glows on its back.

Aura affectionately calls it “Ii-chan.”

It possesses a terrifying skill called “Roar of Fear,” a shout that instantly kills those who hear it.

Members of Ainz Ooal Gown have commented that its concept is clearly inspired by a famous “King of Monsters” from kaiju films.

In the anime adaptation, however, the multi-colored dorsal fin is not visibly depicted.

Other Tamed Creatures (Anime and Novel)

Hounds of the Wild Hunt

These are level 77 beasts associated with the fabled phantasmal “Wild Hunt.”

In the anime, they appear as black-coated hounds, but details beyond that remain sparse.

Qilin (Kirin)

This level 76 monster is based on the Chinese mythological creature qilin.

In the anime, its appearance closely matches traditional depictions of the qilin as a scaled, hoofed, antlered beast.

Two-Headed Serpent (Amphisbaena)

This level 76 creature has a serpent’s body with a second head at the tail end, along with wings.

In the anime, it appears as a winged snake with heads at both ends, but the full extent of its abilities is not fully described.

Stone King Winged Lizard (Basilix)

A level 74 monster whose name suggests a connection to the basilisk myth.

In the anime, it looks like a large reptilian lizard, likely with petrifying or gaze-based abilities.

Greedy Toad (Gagalupul)

In the light novel, this beast is level 58, while in the web version it is at least level 70.

It appears as a grotesque gigantic toad with twisted, nightmare-like features.

Its stained, yellowed molar teeth line its maw, and its eyes are likened to those of a middle-aged human drowning in greed and desire.

This creature embodies gluttony and repulsiveness, fitting Aura’s general dislike of disgusting amphibious or insectoid beings.

Web Novel–Exclusive Beasts

In the web novel version, Aura commands several additional unique magical beasts.

While levels are not always known, they further illustrate the variety in her “zoo.”

Allendagrost

A shapeless mass composed of writhing tentacles topped with multiple snake heads.

Its level is unspecified, but its design evokes a hybrid between an eldritch horror and multi-headed serpent.

Zweik Priestlord

A frog-like monster with a level over 70.

It has pink skin, wears ornate priestly robes, a crown, and carries a lavishly decorated staff.

It can cast up to six different 10th-tier divine spells, making it an extremely dangerous magical support and healer.

The combination of amphibious body and high-tier holy magic creates an odd but deadly contrast.

Shesep Ankh (Sphinx Lord)

This beast is described as a “Sphinx Lord” species.

It likely combines a lion-like body with a humanoid or animal head, echoing mythic sphinxes, though details are not fully elaborated.

Quetzalcoatl

A serpent-like, winged creature based on the Mesoamerican feathered serpent deity.

Aura uses it as a mount, riding it into battle or during travel, emphasizing her thematic link to exotic beasts and jungle cultures.

Zweik Singer-Songwriter

Another bizarre frog-like creature variant.

It possesses a skill called “Sleep Cursed Song,” which can lull enemies into deep sleep through its singing.

Aura’s key relationships help highlight her role in Nazarick’s emotional ecosystem.

She is more emotionally open than many of her peers, even if she shares their ruthless values.

With Ainz Ooal Gown

Aura respects Ainz as an absolute master and godlike figure, like all Nazarick denizens.

However, her relationship also has a softer, more childlike dimension: she admires him and craves his recognition and affection.

Ainz in turn feels a special fondness for Aura and Mare, finding their gentle loyalty and less extreme personalities soothing.

He often sees them as a comfort zone amidst the harsh, obsessive devotion of Guardians like Albedo and Demiurge.

When Ainz casually tells Aura that he “likes” her, she becomes deeply flustered and begins to view him more as a man as well as a supreme being.

Her later rivalry with Albedo over Ainz’s lap illustrates her growing possessiveness and affection.

With Mare Bello Fiore

Mare Bello Fiore is Aura’s younger twin brother, and their relationship is one of the closest sibling bonds in Nazarick.

Aura is protective, bossy in a big-sister way, and very supportive of Mare’s shyness and insecurity.

They complement each other’s combat roles: Aura leads the beasts and recon; Mare controls terrain and unleashes destructive magic.

Emotionally, Aura often pushes Mare forward while also sheltering him, preventing him from being overwhelmed.

They communicate easily through their linked necklaces and through long familiarity.

Ainz considers the pair together the ideal leadership team, as they are reliable, dutiful, and comparatively humane.

With Shalltear Bloodfallen

Shalltear Bloodfallen is conceptually Aura’s “rival” due to settings written by their creators.

In practice, the two argue and tease each other often, but their bond is deep and sister-like.

Aura sees Shalltear as a “slightly incompetent younger sister” who nonetheless must be helped and guided.

This becomes crucial after Shalltear’s mind control incident, as Aura struggles emotionally but still acts to save and later support her.

During the redemption arc for Shalltear, Aura plays the role of a stabilizing influence.

She reins in Shalltear’s impulsive tendencies and prevents new blunders, helping restore her reputation in Ainz’s eyes.

With Other Nazarick Members and Outsiders

Aura does not join the intense romantic rivalry between Albedo and Shalltear at first, mostly watching from the sidelines in mild disbelief.

Later, after becoming more conscious of Ainz as a romantic target, she starts to compete mildly too.

She shares Lupusregina Beta’s tendency to regard humans as toys, but she is far less sadistic.

Where Lupusregina might actively torment and break humans for amusement, Aura generally refrains unless Nazarick’s interests require it.

Her relatively gentle behavior allows her to be accepted by enslaved elves under her command.

They see her as a protector rather than a tyrant, despite the larger context of Nazarick’s brutality.

Similarly, Dwarves like Gondo Firebeard warm to Aura and feel safe around her, even when they fear other Nazarick denizens.

This makes Aura a useful “face” when Nazarick needs to cultivate cooperation rather than fear.

In the web novel, Aura’s full name is given as “Aura Dibei Fiora” instead of “Aura Bella Fiora.”

Mare does not appear at all, meaning Aura alone serves as the sole Guardian of the Sixth Floor.

Her abilities are broadly similar, but there are subtle differences in how spells and beasts are described.

The web version explicitly notes that the number of spells she has learned is not large, but she can still cast up to the highest tier available.

Some of the magical beasts mentioned earlier, such as Allendagrost, Zweik Priestlord, Shesep Ankh, Quetzalcoatl, and Zweik Singer-Songwriter, appear only in or primarily in the web novel.

These additions expand the scope of Aura’s “beast army” beyond what is seen in the print novels alone.

In the comedic spin-off series often translated as “The Undead Oh!” (a parody manga focusing on everyday life in Nazarick), Aura appears in a more lighthearted and expressive way.

Her personality is exaggerated for comedy, emphasizing her childlike energy, teasing nature, and reactions.

The spin-off shows Aura in various outfits not seen in the main story, such as mourning clothes, traditional Japanese-style clothing, and pajamas.

These outfits highlight her “cute” concept and allow fans to see different sides of her beyond the jungle warrior aesthetic.

Her interactions with other characters in the spin-off often lean into slice-of-life humor.

The series uses Aura’s relatively normal temperament as a foil to the extreme quirks of characters like Albedo, Demiurge, and Pandora’s Actor, making her an anchor for comedic situations.
