Ignis Ford Dustiness

Darkness's father. The current head of the prestigious Dustiness family, also known as the "Royal Family's Dagger," his authority and influence are second only to the royal family itself. Having lost his wife early, he is extremely doting on his children and raised them freely, which he believes led to Darkness's current peculiarities. He is seriously concerned about her future and often arranges marriage meetings for her, but each time he ends up being knocked down by her. However, their relationship is generally very good.

When Aqua defeated Verdia, the lord of the region, Alderp, took on more than half of the repair costs for the damaged castle walls and buildings (estimated at two billion Eris) as a debt, intending to repay it gradually. However, Alderp, desiring Darkness, lost his patience and had the demon Maxwell cast a deadly curse on him, putting him in a critical condition for a while, but Aqua easily lifted the curse.

After Darkness accepted Alderp's proposal and secluded herself in her family home (fully aware of his true nature as the embodiment of sexual harassment), Kazuma, who liked her a lot and was trying to help her, became very fond of him. He schemed daily to get Darkness and Kazuma together (although Darkness knocked him down during marriage talks, she was shy but thankful towards Kazuma). After Alderp's disappearance, he became the new lord of the town of Axel.
