Introduction
EditA goddess who governs water and is the divine symbol of the Axis Church. In heaven, she guided the souls of young deceased Japanese to either heaven, reincarnation, or rebirth in another world. As Kazuma's special ability, she descended into another world with him, bringing along an item of her choice. She later registered as an Archpriest at the guild.
Though she appears to be of the same age as Kazuma, her actual age is unknown. She existed even before the birth of the Crimson Demon clan.
She wears a blue robe, known as "the divine artifact of the goddess," and blue pajamas at home. Her hairstyle is long, light blue hair.
She has a fair amount of knowledge about Earth and modern Japan's knowledge and technology. She does not hide the fact that she is a real goddess, but due to her usual poor behavior, she is not taken seriously by anyone (including her own followers), except for a few related parties such as reincarnated individuals, and is often called a "useless goddess" by Kazuma.
From the beginning, she has acquired all the skills and magic that an Archpriest can learn, and as a goddess, she has also acquired divine attribute melee attacks (God Blow, God Requiem). When Kazuma is killed, she can instantly regenerate his body and resurrect him. Her abilities as an Archpriest surpass human understanding, having broken curses and powerful barriers that no one else could, and easily performing feats thought impossible for humans, such as purifying undead and contaminated water, which are fitting for a goddess in terms of attack power, insight, and purification ability.
However, Aqua's strong purification ability often unintentionally attracts undead, especially in dungeons, making it seem like she is effortlessly defeating and purifying attacking undead, creating a situation that looks staged.
Whenever she has free time, she performs party tricks at the guild's tavern, which are good enough to be paid for, but she never accepts tips.
In the official character popularity poll commemorating the TV anime adaptation by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko, she ranked fourth.
King Zell (Kingsford Zeltman)
Aqua's pet, a normal chick. She was deceived into spending a lot of money on a chicken egg, believing it was a dragon's egg. She insists it is a dragon's child and named it "Kingsford Zeltman," expecting it to become the emperor of dragons. It is affectionately called "King Zell" by Aqua.
