Asahi Kuromine

The protagonist of this work, a high school sophomore turning into a junior. He has a guardian-like temperament, often covering for the careless actions of his non-human friends, and while he frequently finds himself in troublesome situations, he doesn't hold grudges and continues to interact normally. Witnessing his normal responses, struggles, and efforts, female characters like Youko and Nagisa gradually develop feelings for him, but he remains committed to Youko and rejects confessions from other women.

He is nicknamed "Anazar" (a colander with holes) because his thoughts are easily read on his face, making it impossible for him to lie or keep secrets. However, he is also prone to embarrassing accidents, earning him the unfortunate nickname "Ero-mine-kun."
