Akane Koumoto

Asahi, Youko and their friends attend Morobare High School, where the principal is actually a devil thousands of years old. Although appearing as a small female student with horns, she possesses extraordinary supernatural powers including hallucinations, physical clones, clairvoyance, and telekinesis. Her true age does not match her youthful appearance or even her mental age, resulting in her not being feared at all, and initially, nobody believed she was the principal. Akane’s manipulations enable many non-human students to enroll, including Youko, Nagisa, Shirou, and Rin. She was once the homeroom teacher of Youko’s parents.

She has an unmatched love for sweets, becoming violent when they run out. Known as the instigator of many bizarre incidents, she becomes baffled in situations beyond her understanding, unlike Kuromine who reacts more calmly. She often teases Akemi about her single status and past, but when it goes too far, she gets scolded or lectured. She was greatly shaken when she found out Sakurada liked Akemi, and even tried to abuse her authority when Akemi and Sakurada started dating in secret.

She has used her supernatural powers for tasteless pranks and spying, but she also adeptly discerns the romantic obliviousness of Youko and Nagisa, prompting them to take action. Despite this, she occasionally shows elder-like consideration. She guided Asahi towards a teaching career when he was unsure of his path, and as a true devil, she is incredibly faithful to any "contract" she agrees to, albeit she does not guarantee anything not included in the contract.

She has a complicated relationship with Karen due to past connections, and often teases her one-sidedly while also taking considerable advantage of her, though they still seem to have a decent relationship based on a side story in volume 7 where Akemi mentioned that she doesn’t know anyone else who the stingy principal would treat.

She is 148 cm tall, weighs 49 kg, born on January 1, and her blood type is B. Her likes include sweets, status, and honor, and she dislikes ghosts and the kinoko vs. takenoko debate. Her skills include pranking and her hobby is spying.
