Kureichirō Ebisugawa

Sōun's eldest son. Due to his sensitive and quiet nature, he had a poor relationship with his father and ran away. After Sōun's death (or during Sōun's disappearance in the anime version), he returned to the Ebisugawa family in the guise of a monk, apologized for his past rudeness, and reconciled with the Shimogamo family. However, this was actually Sōun in disguise, while the real person had taken refuge with the Kinchō clan in Shikoku. He learned of his impostor in Kyoto after meeting Yajirō, who visited Shikoku, and returned with him. After the series of incidents concluded, he remained in Kyoto, retraining Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
