Minoru Tatsuishi

The head of the Tatsuishi family and Kouji's father. He desires the supernatural abilities of the Usuba family, which is Miyo’s maternal lineage, to restore the prestige of the Tatsuishi family, which is on the verge of decline. He schemes to marry Miyo to his eldest son, Kazushi, and have her bear a child who would inherit the Usuba family's abilities. To achieve this, he plots to make Miyo's life miserable and isolated, ensuring she feels worthless and has nowhere else to go. He is displeased with his second son Kouji’s support of Miyo, fearing it might reveal her true worth to the Saimori family and complicate his plans. He possesses the ability to control fire, capable of causing fires that can burn down a wooden mansion. However, when he challenges Kiyoka, he is overwhelmingly defeated, demonstrating a significant disparity in power described as "like a child against an adult." At the end of the first volume, he relinquishes the headship to his eldest son, Kazushi, and exits the story.
