Alexia Midgar

The second princess of the Kingdom of Midgar. 15 years old. Her swordsmanship is mediocre, and she is often compared to her sister Iris, who is considered the strongest in the kingdom, and disparaged as "the sword of a commoner." While she loves her sister Iris, she feels inferior due to the constant comparisons and has come to dislike her own swordsmanship.

She is thought to be a kind-hearted princess by the public, but that is just an act; in reality, she has a twisted personality. However, she is not a bad person and is considerate of her friends.

She dislikes her suitor, Xenon, for being "too perfect," and to avoid marrying him, she needed to be in a relationship with someone else. Knowing that Cid's confession was not serious and was part of a dare, she accepted him because his swordsmanship was also "mediocre." Their relationship was more like that of a master and a pet, where she manipulated Cid with money, but he was also someone she could be honest with, which gradually led to a sense of camaraderie, although Cid himself did not feel much for her.

Later, when Xenon, who was after Alexia's blood, revealed his true nature and imprisoned her underground, she escaped during an experiment that caused Milia to go berserk. However, she was cornered by Xenon until she encountered Shadow, and witnessed Xenon being vaporized by Shadow's "I Am Atomic" technique. She was then rescued by Iris. Seeing Shadow's swordsmanship, which was "mediocre" like hers yet overwhelmingly powerful, helped her overcome her inferiority complex and gain confidence in her own sword skills.

After the incident, Alexia proposed continuing their romantic relationship, but Cid declined with a refreshing smile, prompting Alexia to cheerfully hack him to pieces. Through the incident, she also became aware of the Diabolos Cult and began taking action to investigate its true nature. Despite being rejected and attacking Cid, she still considers buying seductive underwear, indicating she hasn't given up on him.

Her temporary relationship with Shadow caused Beta to dislike her, and although Alexia sensed Beta's malevolence and disliked her in return, she unknowingly became friends with Rose in Lindblum due to the flow of the conversation.

However, during the Bushin Festival, Rose had to hide due to a scheme by Doem, leading to a sudden end to their interaction. This event made Alexia realize her own powerlessness and motivated her to increase her capabilities by dedicating herself to her studies.
