Ermine is a tall and beautiful woman.

She disguises herself by dressing in men’s clothes.

Her skin is very pale, which makes her look different from her brother, Raven.

Ermine is brave, loyal, and protective.

She is caring and willing to fight for her loved ones.

However, she can be secretive when she is unsure of her future with Edgar J. C. Ashenbert.

Ermine was once a slave, along with her half-brother Raven.

They were sold to the Prince’s group, where she met Edgar J. C. Ashenbert.

Ermine grew to love Edgar but suffered a lot because the Prince hurt her to make Edgar suffer.

After returning as a selkie fairy, Ermine can use special abilities connected to the sea and can sense things through gemstones like aquamarine.

As a human, she was also skilled in fighting.

When Lydia Ashenbert helped Edgar get close to the treasure sword, Ermine felt guilty and admitted she was a traitor.

She left without seeing Edgar get the sword and jumped into the sea.

Return as a Selkie

Ulysses Barlow brought Ermine back to life as a selkie (seal fairy).

She appeared before Lydia and the group.

Her previous actions helped Edgar become Prince, causing her to feel awkward.

Later, it was revealed that her spying was actually done under Francis’s orders.

Ermine’s Journey and Final Choice

Ermine gave her selkie fur (her true life) to Edgar.

Lydia believed Ermine’s soul belonged to Edgar forever.

Ermine continued working alone to help Edgar and Lydia, and also grew closer to Kelpie.

She then traveled with Mermaid Rosa and Mellow Jet to search for the Fire Agate, an important gem.

Ermine heard from an old selkie that she might be the real owner of the “Heart of the Selkie,” a special item Lydia had.

Using her selkie powers, she helped find the Fire Agate under London Tower.

However, she got trapped underground when a fire broke out.

In her last moments, she asked Kelpie to let her die as a human and left the rest to him.

Anime Differences

In the anime, Ermine is already a selkie and is with Ulysses Barlow from the start.

Lydia only knows Ermine’s name at the beginning.

Ermine’s story is full of sacrifice, love, and bravery.

She fights for her friends and the people she cares about, even at great personal cost.
