He has the rare ability to see heat emitted from objects, similar to viewing the world through a thermal scope.

Using this power, he can detect targets even through walls and accurately shoot enemies with firearms.

Despite his impressive skills, Hajiki is extremely forgetful, which often undercuts his otherwise elite performance.

This forgetfulness once caused a major misunderstanding in his career records.

Five years before the main story, he participated in a rookie tournament and was officially registered as a “non-ability user.”

Even so, he won the title of Best Rookie Fire Soldier, proving his combat talent and tactical sense were exceptional even without recognized powers.

The “non-ability” label was purely bureaucratic: he had simply forgotten to file the paperwork to register his thermal vision ability.

On paper he appeared powerless, but in reality he was a gifted ability user and marksman.

In the midst of this fierce battle, Hajiki encounters Orochi, an enemy with overwhelming power.

Despite his skill and his best efforts, he is defeated and killed by Orochi.

Following his death, his body is used by Ritsu, whose ability transforms him into one of the undead.

This grim turn underscores the brutality of the conflict in Fire Force and adds a tragic layer to Hajiki’s character, as a once-heroic soldier is forced to fight again as a corpse against the living.
