Akitaru Oubi

Commander of the 8th Special Fire Brigade, formerly a general firefighter. He is 31 years old and stands 189 cm tall. His birthday is March 27th. As a non-ability user, he conducts firefighting and rescue operations with his well-trained physique and equipment. He loves working out and spends his free time training his body. The equipment necessary for his deployment exceeds 30 kg.

He has a caring personality, often taking Shinra and Arthur out for meals and cracking jokes. However, at fire scenes, he is deeply considerate of victims and their families, retrieving family photos for survivors and sternly instructing Shinra and Arthur not to show weapons in front of them.

Despite being a non-ability user, he can utilize "superhuman strength" at will, enough to knock out ability users specialized in combat.

During the battle with Doppelgänger Assault, he was overwhelmed and nearly killed, but the tide turned with Assault's assistance. He guided residents to evacuate but was fatally wounded by Doppelgänger Oubi, which triggered Shinra's rampage and resulted in the 8th Brigade being consumed by flames. Later, when Shinra recreated the world, he and the 8th Brigade members were resurrected along with the residents.

After the Great Disaster was eradicated, the Special Fire Brigade disbanded, and he formed the World Hero Brigade, becoming its general commander. Twenty-five years later, he became the president.
