Ritsu Shinjo (針条律) is a first year student at Darkwick Academy and a member of the Sinostra House.

A resilient first-year striving to become Japan's next top attorney. He is determined to reform Sinostra's notorious reputation. Rumor has it he is the son of one of Tokyo's most morally bankrupt lawyers.

• Multilingualism — In Ritsu's winter voicelines, he describes himself as having "mastered" German, Italian, and French. In one of his campus chats, he boasts to the player character about reading the most difficult novel in the English literary canon (Finnegans Wake), so some knowledge of English is implied as well.

Unique Abilities

• Stigma — Ritsu's stigma allows him to harden his body, which prevents it from being damaged from things like bullets. However, his body becomes heavier, making it difficult to move. It is activated with "Acimo."

• Enhanced recovery — As revealed in Episode 3, and Lucas' Chapter 1 Affinity conversation with the MC, ghouls can recover from their physical injuries five times faster than that of their non-ghoul counterparts as long as they are tended to correctly.

• Enhanced physical strength — According to Professor Hyde in the prologue, one of the traits unique to ghouls is their enhanced strength.

• Enhanced durability — In order to successfully become a ghoul, a person's durability must be able to take the devouring of a demon after a pact is done without suffering any fatal consequences or losing all willpower.

• Immunity to Mesmer Matches — Like the effect of the Kyklos' curse on the MC, it is revealed in Episode 4 that ghouls are also immune to the effects of the mesmer matches.
