Ren Shiranami (白波 蓮 Shiranami Ren) is a first year student at Darkwick Academy and a member of the Jabberwock House. He was assigned to the endlessly busy Jabberwock House despite his total lack of motivation. He also works part-time at the school's Mystery Diner.

Stigma: He used his stigma only once so far to clean up an ink mess left by Calamari that wasn't coming off with conventional cleaning methods, using the word "Raothtas." However, he uses his stigma in Episode 17 to lessen the time it took to boil the water he was preparing.
Ren has dark greenish brown hair and light blue eyes. He has black stud earrings — 2 on the left and 1 on the right — as well as a digital watch on his left arm.
He wears the Jabberwock uniform.
Looking at the expressions he showed when he was normally and accidentally pulled into a mission, he was quite scared and often avoided any trouble.
Always carrying his phone with him everywhere, Ren is not cowardly but in some cases he just wants to get away from that place as quickly as possible.
In Episode 17, it is revealed that Ren is from Shonan, Kanagawa, which is known for its beach culture and many marine activities.
