A new slave who arrived at Ketil's farm. He is a Norse Englishman, fluent in both Norse and English. Originally a farmer, he is knowledgeable about agriculture. Due to his background, he harbors hatred towards the warriors who raid villages. He attempted to escape multiple times before being brought to the farm and was punished each time, but he remained resilient.

He has a cheerful personality and actively talks to Thorfinn, who doesn't respond much. When he was about to be killed by Ketil's heir, Thorfinn offered himself as a substitute, and he tried to help Thorfinn escape, worrying about him even after being captured. Upon learning that Thorfinn was a former warrior, he initially felt hatred but changed his mind after seeing Thorfinn tormented by guilt every night, and began to treat him as a friend. Later, he and Thorfinn overcame various hardships in their slave life, including the escape incident of Arnheid and Gardar, and the ceasefire negotiations with Canute, becoming like brothers to each other.

Being a true farmer at heart, he is very earnest and dedicated to agriculture. When the farmland he and Thorfinn cultivated was ravaged by the servants, he was quietly furious. He held affection for Arnheid and, not wanting her to suffer any more, helped her and her husband Gardar escape with Thorfinn, but they were stopped by Snake and his men. This incident made him strongly resonate with Thorfinn's ideal of wanting to eliminate war and slavery from the world.

After Arnheid died due to Ketil's assault, he was almost consumed by revenge, but was persuaded by Thorfinn's heartfelt words. In front of Arnheid's grave, he vowed to aim for a new land without war or slavery together with Thorfinn.
