Alnitak, also known as Tak, is a minor antagonist turned main character in Relayer. He is the Starchild of Alnitak, one of the three stars of Orion's Belt. He is a member of the Star Council, a group of Space Pirates where he primarily works as the secretary of the group, but he is also the group's treasurer, general affairs, and public relations officer. He works under his captain and childhood friend Mintaka and works alongside his fellow member, Alnilam. Alnitak harbors romantic feelings for Mintaka and is always working hard to improve his housekeeping skills in order to win her affections.

Alnitak is a young adult man with dark blue hair that reachs down to his neck and has green eyes.
Alnitak wears the Star Councils uniform which consists of a gray long sleeve shirt with a black stripe going down and across, a pair of black pants and shoes, a white leg pouch, a black hip pouch and a black cape that reaches down to his waist.
