Hakushurin

Queen Mother of the West. Originally an orphan, she was chosen as the Queen Mother of the West after the previous Queen Mother's passing because she was at the exact opposite position of the celestial alignment of the fateful day and time of the predecessor's death. Later, she met Ichiyō, who had sneaked into the Jade Pool Palace, and they became close friends. She became a celestial being at the age of 16, halting her growth.

As a child, due to certain circumstances, she wore only men's clothing and was a tomboy interested in martial arts. Her hair was short, leading Ichiyō to mistakenly think she was a boy for a period. Perhaps because of this, she dislikes wearing "frilly clothes" when meeting Ichiyō.

Although she is close friends with Hakushurin, Ichiyō, who harbored resentment towards the Queen Mother of the West, stopped meeting with Hakushurin for four years after discovering that her true identity was the Queen Mother of the West. Their relationship remains delicate to this day.
