Azusa Shiratori is a guest character from Ranma ½ who stands out with her lovely looks and strong fighting skills. Azusa is a member of the Saint Kolkhoz Skating Pair, teaming up with Mikado Sanzenin. Their reputation is "The Couple Breakers" because they try to mess up the trust between other pairs in matches. However, Azusa and Mikado’s teamwork is actually terrible, since even her own partner doesn’t treat her well.
Even though Azusa looks sweet, she is actually a good fighter. During the "Dance of the Spirits" fight, she showed she could keep up with strong opponents like Ranma Saotome. She is clever and willing to use tricks, like kissing, to win.
Azusa’s main skating partner is Mikado Sanzenin, but their partnership is always falling apart. She doesn’t get along with him, and she never thinks twice about hurting him if he doesn’t do what she wants.
She tried to make Ryouga Hibiki (as P-chan) and Genma Saotome (as a panda) her pets, naming them “Charlotte.” She also gave Tatewaki Kuno the name “Marianne” when he wore a raccoon costume.
The First Appearance
Azusa makes her debut as part of the infamous skating duo from Saint Kolkhoz Academy. She helps cause trouble for Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendou by using sneaky tricks to try and ruin their teamwork. This includes getting between them and making them fight against each other during the dramatic skating match.
Trying to Claim Pets
Azusa spots P-chan (Ryouga Hibiki) and Genma (as a panda), immediately falling in love with their cuteness. She calls them Charlotte and tries to take them home as her own pets, which upsets their real owners.
Draw in "Dance of the Spirits"
At the end of the skating battle called “Dance of the Spirits,” Azusa declares the match a tie, seeing that Ranma Saotome managed to fight back against Mikado Sanzenin. Akane Tendou argues that Ranma should be the winner.
Return in the Anime
Azusa comes back in one episode of the anime, this time fixating on Tatewaki Kuno when he wears a raccoon disguise. She names him Marianne and causes another round of chaos, leading to one more skating fight with Ranma and his friends.
