Character Introduction

Edit
The protagonist of this work. Commonly known as Sakura. A fourth-grade student attending Tomoeda Private Elementary School. Born on April 1st (her birth flower is Somei Yoshino cherry blossom). Blood type A. Her favorite flower is the cherry blossom. Her favorite colors are pink and white. Her catchphrases include "Hanyaan" and "Hoe~" (sometimes "Hau~"). She is a member of the cheerleading club. She was made a Cardcaptor by the "Beast of the Seal," Keroberos, who was sleeping in the Clow Card book found in her father's library (the details of this differ slightly between the original work and the anime). Initially, she was not very enthusiastic about collecting the cards, but as she gathered them, she became friends with Keroberos and the cards, and began to collect them willingly.
She is bright, honest, kind, and very considerate of her friends. She is somewhat naive and a bit of a crybaby. She has short brown hair adorned with hair accessories (in the anime, her hairstyle is consistently the same, but in the original work, there are various styles, including braids). She is a hard worker with a determined spirit, and her invincible spell is "Everything will surely be alright." She lost her mother at the age of three and lives with her father and brother. At home, she wears hamster slippers (in the Clear Card arc, she switches to regular slippers). She can handle most household chores, but is a bit weak in sewing, especially knitting. Her specialty dish is pancakes. She likes omelets, fried shrimp, and noodles, but dislikes konjac. When she catches a cold, she drinks "warm honey milk" made by Nadeshiko or Touya. She also made it for Shaoran when he caught a cold. She is generally good at sports, with baton twirling as her special skill. In the Clow Card and Sakura Card arcs, she often wears rollerblades when commuting to school or going out. She often oversleeps and is almost late. She is not suspicious of others and is always fooled by Yamazaki's tall tales. "Monster" is an NG word for her, as she is teased by Touya.
Due to hearing ghost stories from Touya when she was young, she is extremely afraid of things whose true nature she cannot identify (however, if she knows it's a Clow Card, her fear disappears). As a result, although her brother Touya can recognize their mother Nadeshiko's presence even after her death, Sakura cannot. She seems to carry the trauma of losing Nadeshiko. She has been classmates with Tomoyo since third grade and they are second cousins. They are very close. However, until Fujitaka and Tomoyo's mother Sonomi reunited at an elementary school sports day, neither the Kinomoto family nor the Daidouji family knew they were related.
She is somewhat oblivious to romance. Initially, she was uncomfortable with Shaoran because he did not approve of her holding the Clow Cards, but they gradually became closer and started calling each other by their first names. Eventually, after receiving a confession from him, she realized her feelings for him, and they became mutual. Her affection for Yukito is due to family love and admiration because he resembles Fujitaka. After becoming mutual with Shaoran, she cherishes Yukito as if he were a real family member.
In the Clow Card arc, she used the sealing staff that held the dark power Clow possessed, but during the final judgment against Yue, with the help of Kaho, it transformed into the Star Wand, which held her own attribute, the power of the stars. The first card she used with the Star Wand was the Clow Card "Windy." When she first started transforming Clow Cards into Sakura Cards, she would become sleepy due to a lack of magical power, but by the time she had transformed all the cards, she had gained magical power stronger than Clow's.
In the Clear Card arc, she is in class 1-2 at Tomoeda Middle School. On the night of her first day of school, she has a mysterious dream where a person cloaked in a robe appears, and the transparent cards floating around shatter. When she wakes up and opens the book, all the Sakura Cards have become transparent, and she can no longer sense any magical power from them. Later, the robed figure appears again in her dream, and she receives a new key. Mysterious events begin to occur again in Tomoeda Town, and the key from her dream becomes the Dream Wand. Unlike in the Clow Card arc, she doesn't say "Hanyaan" as much, and the first time she says it is in volume 3 (according to her, it's because she's embarrassed now that she's a middle school student). After entering middle school, she no longer wears hair accessories or rollerblades to school. From the Clear Card arc, she owns a smartphone and mainly uses it to contact people, unlike in the previous work where she used the phone on the first floor.
In volume 27 of "Tsubasa -RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE-," she appears as a middle school student and gives the Star Wand to 'Shaoran's' mother. At this point, it seems she can continue to be the master of the cards even without the Star Wand.
Her name is derived from the protagonist of a novel written by Nanase Ohkawa in the fifth volume of "Genki Yomihon" (an anthology published by Fusion Product), who is a manga artist named Sakura Kinomoto.
