Tomoyo Daidouji

Tomoyo Daidouji is Sakura's classmate, best friend, and cousin (her mother Sonomi and Sakura's mother Nadeshiko are cousins on their father's side, the Amamiya family). She was born on September 3rd and has blood type A. Her favorite flowers are magnolias and cherry blossoms, and her favorite colors are beige and white. She enjoys music and Japanese language classes but struggles with swimming. As the only daughter of a wealthy family, she has several bodyguards. She is a member of the choir club and is skilled enough to sing solo at recitals, having won various competitions. Her hobbies include cooking, sewing, and video filming (she is knowledgeable about cameras). Her sewing skills are exceptional, and she often made battle costumes for Sakura during the capture of Clow Cards, believing that "special occasions require special outfits." She also handmade the costumes for the school play. She is characterized by her long black hair and fair skin, which her mother encouraged her to grow to resemble Nadeshiko. She speaks in a refined, ladylike manner, using phrases like "desu wa." Despite her gentle demeanor, she is thoughtful and shows a maturity beyond her years.

Tomoyo loves Sakura dearly and finds great joy in having her wear the clothes she makes and watching the videos she films. Her room is equipped with video editing equipment and a theater room. She supports Sakura with a camcorder, adhering to her belief of "not missing a second of Sakura's brave figure," and is very disappointed when she fails to capture footage. In the Clear Card arc, she equips Keroberos with a small camera and saves the footage on her laptop, and uses a drone camera to film Sakura from a distance. She also devises new poses for Sakura to perform during the sealing release, both with the Sealing Wand and the Star Wand, and continues to create new poses after Sakura acquires the Dream Wand.

Even when caught in trouble during the discovery of Clow Cards or Clow Reed's presence, she trusts Sakura completely and remains unfazed. She cherishes the eraser that led to her friendship with Sakura. Although she has no magical power, her insight into people's emotions is sharp, and she quickly notices Shaoran's feelings for Sakura. She is a second cousin to Sakura and Touya on her mother's side. Early in the original series, there is a depiction of her having a fondness for Touya, but this is due to his resemblance to Sakura, not an actual affection for Touya himself. She stars in the spin-off game "Cardcaptor Sakura: Tomoyo's Video Great Strategy." She also has a nurturing side, often comforting and encouraging others like a guardian.
