Asahi Shiina

A classmate of Haruka, Makoto, Ikuya, and Kisumi from middle school. Height: 179 cm. Born on April 18. In the third season, he enrolls in the same university as Haruka and joins the swim club. He also competes in freestyle. He has a somewhat playful but bright and straightforward personality, serving as a mood maker. His image is that of a ribbon seal.

A first-year student at Iwatobi Middle School. His specialty is the butterfly stroke. He has a cheerful and energetic personality with a positive outlook on things. He is confident but faces swimming with a passionate attitude. After seeing Haruka's incredible swimming, he becomes unable to swim freestyle, but with the support of Rei's recommended book and Nao's encouragement, he realizes that no matter how amazing Haruka's swimming is, he is still just a normal person. Accepting his own weaknesses, he becomes able to swim freestyle again. He moved before entering middle school, so he attended a different elementary school from Haruka and Kisumi. He has an older sister named Akane. Additionally, he transferred schools again in the winter of his first year of middle school, temporarily losing contact with Haruka, Makoto, and Ikuya. In high school, he establishes a swim club like Haruka and the others and competes in regional relay competitions with his juniors.
