Yuuta Shimada

He is referred to as a "mop head" due to his hairstyle. His nickname is "Shimakou". In fact, he's older than those around him because he has repeated a year.

He is not popular with women because he tends to be overly aggressive and seems to be quite envious. He later falls in love with Ryou at first sight and invites him on a date without knowing that he is a man. Unaware to him, he instills various traumas in Ryou which causes Ryou to run away. From that point onward, the scene of Shimada, who pursued Ryou, caused Ryou to have a personality collapse, and was taken away in a patrol car with his face covered by a jacket, has become a common pattern for punchlines. He later tries to confess his feelings to Midorisaka as well.

Just after Shirou confessed to Asahi at the fireworks festival in their third year and was rejected, Shirou jokingly makes a move on him, but he declines, reading the situation. However, this hurts Shirou's pride and she starts to become more aggressive with him. It is mentioned by Yuuka Momochi (one of the new first-year students) that in the future, he will marry Shishido and have a daughter with her, but Shimada himself is unaware of this. Also, Momochi's reaction to Shimada is much more distant than Asahi's and Rin's, like that of a granddaughter to a grandfather.
