Jin Mitaka

A resident of Room 103 in Sakura Dormitory and a third-year student in the general course, he progresses to Osaka University of Arts (referred to as Osaka Comprehensive University of Arts in the anime). He aspires to be a screenwriter. He is a childhood friend of Misaki and is responsible for the scripts in the anime produced by Misaki. Usually calm, he becomes quick-tempered when angry. He is careless in his relationships with women, staying overnight at different women's homes daily. He considers Sorata a "proud junior." His first love was Misaki's older sister, Fūka, but it was revealed that he was seeing Misaki through her, leading to a harsh breakup. He viewed Misaki as a talented but strange childhood friend, and although he envied her talent and wanted to hurt her, he was afraid of doing so. Wanting her to remain pure and stay by his side, they ended up in their current ambiguous relationship. Despite this, he is conscious of Misaki and wants to cherish her.
