Past Accomplishments

In the previous year, Kentaro and Masami had a successful season, even defeating a team that included Shūichirō Ōishi at the Tokyo Metropolitan Tournament. Their strong performance carried them all the way to the National Tournament.

Tokyo Metropolitan Tournament

In the tournament finals, Kentaro's pair once again faced Seigaku's Ōishi and Kikumaru in the D1 match. They attempted to repeat their previous year's strategy by disrupting their formation while feigning a focus on Ōishi, but it proved ineffective this time.

Kentaro and Masami took the lead using their skilled sign plays, but the Golden Pair countered with their own signs. This shift in momentum allowed Kikumaru to unleash his acrobatic style, turning the tide of the match and ultimately leading to the Yamabuki pair's defeat.

Kanto Tournament

Following the Tokyo tournament, Kentaro and Masami demonstrated their strength by defeating the duo of Tetsu Ishida and Masaya Sakurai in the second round of the Kanto Tournament.

The New Prince of Tennis

Kentaro participated in the U-17 training camp. He was scheduled to play against Ryoma Echizen in a dropout tie-break match, but he won by default when Ryoma failed to appear for the match.
