Kyougai

Former Lower Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki. A demon with drums growing out of his shoulders, stomach, and legs.

He refers to himself as "sessha" or "ore." He is strategic and wise but speaks in a muttering, gloomy, and nervous manner with high pride. He also shows a fastidious side about manners, getting irritated with the Demon Slayer Corps members who enter his house with shoes on.

The master of the mansion that Tanjirou and Zenitsu were sent to.

He possesses a Blood Demon Art that allows him to control space by beating the drums on various parts of his body, rotating rooms or sending slicing attacks. He also had a drum on his back that could shift the space of a room, but he dropped one during a fight with the Tongue Demon (voice - Arata Furuta) and the Horned Demon (voice - Yoshihisa Kawahara), which was ironically picked up and used by others.

When he was human, he was a novelist who wrote mystery novels because he liked the Satomi Hakkenden, but after becoming a demon, he continued writing. He has a past where he brutally murdered an acquaintance who harshly criticized his work and stepped on his manuscript.

He was once a powerful member who climbed to the Lower Rank Six of the Twelve Kizuki, but eventually, his body rejected human flesh, and seeing no further improvement, he was abandoned by Muzan Kibutsuji and stripped of his rank. He targeted a rare blood type to regain his position in the Twelve Kizuki.

Unable to capture Kiyo, who used the shifting drum against him, he fought a duel with Tanjirou, who was with Kiyo's younger siblings, Shoichi (voice - Mitsuhiro Ichiki) and Teruko (voice - Miharu Okasaki), and struggled with his Blood Demon Art but was defeated by "Ninth Form: Splashing Water Flow, Turbulent."

Even during the fight, he was moved to tears and vanished, feeling acknowledged by Tanjirou's respect for his Blood Demon Art and the fact that Tanjirou did not step on his manuscript.

Techniques:

Drumming

A Blood Demon Art that controls the space within the mansion. Beating the drum changes the state of the room he is in. Beating the drum on his left shoulder rotates the room to the left; the right shoulder rotates it to the right; the right leg rotates it forward; the left leg rotates it backward. Humans in the room fall "down" with each rotation, but Kyougai himself is unaffected. Beating the drum on his stomach sends out three slicing attacks that tear through enemies. He also had a drum on his back that could shift to another room.

Rapid Drumming

Beating the drum at an extremely high speed. Those caught in the technique lose their sense of balance and are tormented by five increased slicing attacks.
