Shina

Shina once worked as a servant girl on a farm outside Kamakura. After being wounded in battle, she lost all her fingers except for her thumbs. She is often seen in a loose yukata, with messy black hair and a hollow look in her eyes.

Shina is loyal, determined, and fierce. After suffering so much loss, she felt empty for a while and even thought of giving up on life. However, deep inside, she loves fighting and protecting her leader. She has a bad habit of getting too carried away in battle, sometimes forgetting her surroundings and becoming wild.

Shina started life as a servant girl on a farm near Kamakura. When the Hojo clan's government fell, she was chosen for her fighting skill and joined their battles. During a fight, her enemies cut off her fingers, making it impossible for her to wield a sword. Lost and empty, she spent her days doing nothing until she met Tokiyuki Hojo during the Nakasendai Rebellion. Tokiyuki brought her to the famous swordsmith Masamune, who crafted special weapons that let her use her powerful legs instead. This gave Shina hope and a new reason to fight.

During battle, she lost almost all her fingers and could no longer wield a sword. Her master was killed, and Shina was left empty and aimless. She lived in sadness, wearing only a yukata with messy hair, barely caring about anything.

Meeting Tokiyuki and Masamune

During the Nakasendai Rebellion, she met Tokiyuki Hojo, who brought her to the famous swordsmith Masamune. Masamune created a strange weapon for her, letting her use her strong legs for fighting instead of her hands. This sparked hope in Shina, finally giving her a reason to live and fight again.

Returning to the Battlefield

Knowing she could fight once more, Shina vowed to become Tokiyuki’s loyal servant. She fought bravely at the Battle of Sugimoto Temple in 1337, jumping in just when Tokiyuki was struggling, turning defeat into victory.

Becoming a Berserker

Since her return, Shina fought on the front lines, leading the charge for the Elusive Samurai group. She became famous for her wild fighting style, often forgetting herself and causing trouble on the battlefield. Kojirō, her direct officer, sometimes had to pull her away for her own safety, which Tokiyuki found amusing.
