The Saint is the Chief Inspector of the Inspection Bureau of the Adventurer's Guild. She harbors a twisted sense of mission to turn Lena Floria, who acquired the "Sword Saint" skill, into a hero. Consequently, she views Light Underwood as an enemy for obstructing her plans.
In the TV anime version, she possesses significant authority, including the ability to unilaterally force a party's disbandment. It is said that opposing the Saint makes it impossible to live in the Holy City. Indeed, she pressured the Guild to ensure Lena Floria, who left Sacred, and Light Underwood, who assisted her, could only accept the lowest-ranked requests.
CV: Sayaka Ohara
She serves as the Chief Inspector of the Inspection Bureau of the Adventurer's Guild. She is a woman of indeterminate age, dressed in monastic attire, with blue eyes and a monocle on her left side.
She is responsible for understanding adventurers' skills, ranks, and party statuses, as well as maintaining overall guild order. As the head of the Inspection Bureau, she can issue disciplinary actions to all guild departments. Despite being a single department, she leads a faction known as the "Saint Faction" and influences various merchant guilds, effectively holding authority equivalent to the Guild Master.
During skill manifestations, she acts as an observer, annually bestowing Skill Fruits upon approximately 1000 individuals. While strict, she appears to be actively seeking combat-type skills, speaking with intense, passionate fervor when Lena Floria actually received the "Sword Saint" skill.
She forcibly brings those who acquire powerful combat skills to the Holy City, compelling them to become adventurers, while treating others with cold indifference. She also displays irresponsibility by disregarding problematic actions committed by parties she personally selected. She is arrogant and a skill-supremacist, not hesitating to abuse her power to punish anyone who opposes her, truly making her an evil saint.
Lena Floria also disliked her methods. When recounting cases of people dying from consuming a second Skill Fruit, she dismissed them as "fools." However, in the anime version, upon realizing Light Underwood had acquired a second skill, she reacted with an expression of utter disbelief.
Bogus Skill "Fruitmaster" Saint
*Warning: The following content contains major spoilers for the work's core plot.*
While publicly serving as the Chief Inspector of the Adventurer's Guild's Inspection Bureau, she secretly orchestrates various incidents behind the scenes. She utilizes "Black Swan," an elite dark unit under her direct command, which handles taboo skills and powerful combat skills not recorded by the Adventurer's Guild. Her exact objectives remain unknown.
Initially, she intended to eliminate Light Underwood due to his unexpected acquisition of numerous skills. However, perceiving value in his aptitude, she now schemes to capture and exploit him.
Her own skill is unknown, but she appears to possess something that interferes with other abilities, as it prevents Ayla Lawrence's "Appraisal" from revealing her skill. Throughout the story, she is depicted as having a skill similar to "Appraisal."
According to Dratena Belbury's past, as later revealed, the Saint was one of the few people who understood Dratena, despite her being shunned. She effectively serves as the primary antagonist of this work.
In the original novel, she ultimately met her end by being assassinated by Lena Floria.
