Misaki

The aunt of the three sisters. Akari, who works at the Ginza snack bar "Misaki," is employed by her as a hostess to free her from household chores. She cleverly uses Akari to liven up the bar, showing a strong business sense. While protecting Akari from admiring customers, she tries to make money off them, and her demeanor is so intimidating that she is feared as a "demon" by some. However, she is not greedy for money. She is married. She was 52 years old just before Hinata entered high school.

Regulars at the bar include chess players, Shogi Federation members, and business owners. According to someone, "her outward appearance was always the best."

Unlike her diligent, cooking-loving mother, Aya, and her sister, Mikako, she specializes in eating.

She is one of the few people who know Seijiro's temperament and repeatedly intervenes to prevent Akari and the others from getting too close, confessing to Rei that she didn't want Akari and the others to know more about their father's bad side.

In the film version, her surname is set as Kawamoto. Therefore, unlike in the original work, it is unclear whether she is married, and there is no particular depiction of whether she took her wife's surname, is unmarried, or divorced.
