The pet shop clerk who appears in the anime is an original character who has been present since the first season. He possesses extensive product knowledge, which sometimes results in confusing the customers. In the second season, his private life is depicted, revealing how much he loves cats. He becomes extremely excited whenever he sees a cat and even takes care of a stray cat he calls "Mi-nya." However, because he has a younger brother who is afraid of cats, he cannot keep one at home.
