The Goddess

The Goddess has a very beautiful appearance, often shown with a golden background. Her looks have a strong connection to the moon and a sense of purity similar to goddesses related to the moon.

Obsession With Beauty

The Goddess is extremely proud and selfish. She only likes people and things that are beautiful. Anything that does not meet her standards is instantly looked down upon. Her sense of value is based only on beauty.

Arrogance and Cruelty

She believes she is far above others and treats everyone else as less important. The Goddess is known to act unkindly, and even cruelly, towards anyone who isn’t beautiful.

Discriminatory Thinking

She favors only humans, and among humans, only those she finds beautiful. She provides blessings only to beautiful humans and doesn’t help any other races, calling them ugly and treating them like slaves or animals.

The Goddess did not actually create her world from nothing. She arrived in a world that already had powerful beings like dragons and monsters and only prepared places for humans to live through negotiation. According to Tomoe Misumi, she is more like a "tenant" or "manager" than a true creator. In terms of power, she is written to be weaker compared to other gods.

She can grant blessings to others but only to beautiful humans, and she can also forcibly summon people from other worlds, such as heroes. She can adjust people's abilities, but only does so for those she personally favors.

With Makoto Misumi

She was supposed to make Makoto Misumi a hero, but insulted him for his appearance and abandoned him in a far-off part of the world. She gave him the power to talk with non-humans but left him with no support.

With Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto

She does not respect her former boss Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto and often ignores her duties and promises. This has made other gods dislike her even more.

With Other Gods

Her irresponsible and cruel behavior has made her unpopular, even among gods. After repeated problems, the gods trapped her and stopped her from interfering again.

Beauty Comes First

The Goddess gives blessings only to humans she thinks are beautiful and ignores or mistreats all others. She does not give any help to demons or demi-humans.

Makoto’s Treatment

She insults Makoto from the very first meeting, calling him ugly and worthless. She tells him to stay away from her world and if he interacts with humans, she threatens to kill him.

Hero Summoning

When the humans she protects are in great danger, The Goddess works with Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto to summon heroes. She was supposed to summon Makoto, but refuses because she doesn’t like his appearance. Instead, she kidnaps two good-looking people from Japan to be heroes.

Using Makoto as a Tool

Though she abandoned Makoto, she still forces him to help when her favorite heroes are in trouble. She forcibly summons him and puts him in dangerous situations, with no care for his wishes or safety.

Anger from the Gods

The other gods become angry at how she treats Makoto and other people. They trap her, and since then, Makoto and others have been unable to contact her.

Problems for the World

Because The Goddess pushes her own values onto her world, humans and other races start to hate each other more and more. This causes big, unsolvable problems in her world.

Hero Doubts

Even some of the heroes she picks, like Hibiki Otonashi, begin to question if The Goddess’s way is right.
