Harvar D. Éclair

Harvar has black hair that he keeps tied back behind his head. He has narrow eyes which he consistently covers.

Initially, he always wore a visor to hide his eyes. In the anime adaptation, his skin tone is slightly tanner.

After joining Spartoi, he ditches the visor for a cool pair of sunglasses.

His look evolved dramatically from a generic background character to a more distinct and prominent design befitting a regular cast member.

In his early days, Harvar was a serious individual whose personality was a good match for his partner, Ox.

However, he develops a cold and ruthless side, believing that a Meister's safety should be protected at any cost.

This is shown when he gravely injures his ally Kim Diehl after she turns on them, and when he mercilessly stabs an enemy's stuffed toy.

He has a self-proclaimed "dry" personality, which makes him unable to perceive madness.

Harvar is a Demon Thunder Spear, a type of Demon Weapon.

Ox Ford

Ox is Harvar's Meister and partner. Their bond is central to Harvar's character development.

Spartoi is an elite unit of young DWMA students, and his inclusion marks a significant step up in his status.

This promotion comes with a change in his personal style, as he begins using "ore" to refer to himself and swaps his visor for sunglasses.

His Japanese voice actor is Wataru Hatano.

His name is a clever pun, combining Harvard University with "éclair," the French word for lightning.

Despite his name suggesting high intelligence, his rank on the Super Written Exam is unknown, though he did not place in the top five.
