Her support officer for the first year is Ryō Yoake.

In her second year, her support officer is An Onoya, who gives her advice about cooking and fashion.

Sometimes Chizuru feels Onoya is a bit overbearing, but they get along in their own way.

The First Year of ReLIFE

Chizuru became the very first ReLIFE subject in the Kanto branch as "Subject No.001."

She started the experiment one year before Arata Kaizaki.

She entered high school as a second-year student to work on her communication skills, because this year has a lot of activities and chances to make friends.

The people managing the lab hoped she would get help from Ryō Yoake and even thought she might fall in love with him.

But things did not go as planned — Yoake had trouble helping her, she struggled with bullying in her class, and most of her reports showed "no change."

The upper management blamed Yoake for being too distant, then for over-involving himself, and the adults’ ideas did not work.

At the end of her first year, Chizuru had not made much progress, and she was not able to get help finding a job.

However, Yoake and Chizuru both wanted to try again, so she was allowed to do a second year of ReLIFE.

Second Year and Meeting New Friends

In her second experiment year, Chizuru starts opening up a little thanks to Arata Kaizaki.

One moment that changes things is when she asks to exchange phone numbers with him, starting their friendship.

Together, they help each other deal with different school problems, including fights between friends and more personal family issues.

Chizuru slowly learns to communicate better and understand others’ feelings.

She starts to notice new feelings about Arata, even searching online about love because she doesn’t fully understand what she feels.

She wonders if Arata is also a ReLIFE subject because he sometimes acts mature or gets caught with cigarettes, but she cannot be sure because subjects are not allowed to reveal themselves to each other.

Conflict and Change

Chizuru accidentally upsets Rena Kariu.

Because she is not good at fake-smiling and took the position Rena wanted, Rena held a grudge at first.

With Arata’s help, they talk honestly and make peace.

When Chizuru sees Arata protect Rena during an accident, she feels strange emotions, which she looks up online and wonders if it might be love — though she refuses to admit it at first.

Experiment Staff Change

After the first year, An Onoya becomes her support officer instead of Ryō Yoake.

Onoya tries to help Chizuru by giving her advice about cooking and fashion, especially for meeting Arata.

Though Chizuru finds her pushy sometimes, they develop trust.

Chizuru’s friends, teachers, and the people from the ReLIFE Laboratory are important in her story.

She learns that real growth comes from trying to understand and connect with others, not just from studying hard.

Her story is about pushing through personal weaknesses, finding true friends, and discovering herself.
