Dakini

Dakini usually appears as a cheerful and stylish girl. When she unleashes her full power as a god, her appearance changes drastically, showing a different, more divine form.

Dakini is energetic, outgoing, and loves to enjoy herself. She acts freely based on her feelings and is hard to ignore. Even with her bubbly attitude, she carries deep pain and longing inside because of her past.

Dakini has the power to control people's desires related to love.

Under the Emperor, she was forced to use this power to keep the people's love at zero.

This led to children being born without the ability to reproduce.

She can also deeply listen to others' worries and help solve them, guiding people towards self-reliance.

In her past as "Kaminaki," she had powers of mind reading and future prediction, which never failed.

Dakini was born under the Emperor's rule and lived there until his death.

She was made to use her powers to suppress love among the people.

This constant suppression caused children without the ability to love or have children to be born, making Dakini feel useless and empty.

Unhappy with the empire, she secretly spread a book about sexual knowledge in the capital, although it became banned.

She later formed the Dakini Love Association, promoting freedom in love and actions.

Before joining the Archons, Dakini was called "Kaminaki" and was the spiritual center of a small, secluded village.

She could not move her arms or legs from birth and was cared for by a girl named Kanya.

Kaminaki comforted and advised villagers with her prophetic and mind-reading abilities.

Her life changed when unknown men kidnapped her after Kanya mysteriously disappeared.

She was forced to become an Archon and lost her past, including all memory of Kanya.

Dakini met a girl named Touka, who was born with the ability to love.

They became close friends and shared happy days together.

Touka was later sent away for being "different." Dakini believed Touka would be happier, but she was shocked to learn that Touka was killed for having a child.

This tragedy inspired Dakini's vow to help people be able to love, make families, and have children again.

Dakini also becomes allies with Yukito and his group after the fall of the empire, working together for common goals.

From Enforcer to Rebel

Dakini starts off under the Emperor, suppressing love and desires using her abilities.

She feels empty and publishes books about love and sex in secret, showing her quiet rebellion.

After the empire falls, she forms her own group, the Dakini Love Association, based on freedom and acting on true emotions.

Meeting Touka

She befriends Touka, a girl capable of love, and enjoys a rare period of happiness.

But when Touka is exiled and then killed for having a child, Dakini's life is shaken.

She decides to change the world so everyone can love and create families freely.

New Allies

Soon after the empire falls, Dakini and her group draw the attention of Yukito and his friends.

At first, they consider each other enemies.

But after talking and with help from Rish, they make peace and join forces.

Dakini becomes an important part of Yukito's team.

The Gaia Arc

Dakini helps rescue children from the Gaia cult, working alongside Yukito.

While Yukito wants her to use her power to brainwash them into becoming her followers, Dakini chooses instead to listen to the kids, solve their problems, and encourage them to find their own way.

She manages to save three children, but is stopped from helping more.

She later joins the group’s band, first playing drums and then switching to piano after the conflict ends.

Past as Kaminaki

In her earlier life, Dakini was known as Kaminaki.

Unable to move by herself, she was cared for by Kanya and served as the spiritual leader of her village.

She always listened kindly to everyone and shared helpful advice, using her flawless mind reading and predictions.

Everything changed the morning Kanya disappeared and Kaminaki was kidnapped, leaving behind her old life and name.

She became Dakini, and later lost all memories of Kanya and her childhood.

A Promise to Herself

Even as time passed, and society crumbled, Dakini never forgot her wish to protect what is precious to her and not lose things that matter ever again.

In her dreams, she remembers her mother’s warning: “You will continue to lose what is important to you.”

Though she cannot recall the details, Dakini quietly hopes that this prophecy will not come true.
