Vaiśravaṇa

One of the Seven Lucky Gods, who calls himself the Heavenly Executioner, does not prefer needless killing, although he is willing to administer divine punishment even to gods if they betray. As a representative of humanity, Buddha was chosen by Zeus to fight against him in the sixth round of the divine representatives.

Originally, the Seven Lucky Gods were not seven separate deities but one, and the other six gods (Daikokuten, Juroujin, Fukurokuju, Hotei, Ebisu, Benzaiten) combined with Vaiśravaṇa to become the original being known as Zerofuku, a god who, when descended, causes great calamity by erasing fortune.

Zerofuku, voiced by Ayumu Murase, is an original god in this work, appearing as a long-haired child and representing the malevolent gods. Originally a god of fortune, he absorbed misfortune to make people happy. However, despite his intentions, the people he absorbed misfortune from did not become happy, leading him to despair after being treated coldly even by a boy he tried to help. He met Buddha during his human life, who taught him that happiness is something one must seek for oneself and that misfortune is part of happiness. This drove him mad when he realized Buddha's method made people happier than his own. He turned into a malevolent god, but originally split into seven to fulfill his role as a god of fortune, thus giving birth to the Seven Lucky Gods. His divine weapon, the "Axe Kyo," changes shape and grows more powerful as Zerofuku absorbs misfortune.

Desperate for recognition, he resented and envied Buddha, who was revered by the people. However, after realizing that Buddha understood him the best and being saved by him after a fight, they reconciled. But soon after, the factor of Beelzebub embedded in him long ago awakened, leading to his absorption and disappearance by Hajun. However, Zerofuku's will remained in the Axe Kyo, and with Buddha's help, they fought together using the divine weapon Renge, leading to Hajun's disappearance. Zerofuku, smiling at Buddha, departed completely along with the other Seven Lucky Gods.
