A former student council president, Makoto Takei is one year above Tooru Honda and her friends. He is in a constant rivalry with Motoko Minagawa, always competing over Yuki Souma, and their arguments are incessant. Although he enforces school rules strictly, he cautions Hatsuharu Souma for his unique hair color, but ends up being dragged into the restroom by Hatsuharu, where it is proven that the color is natural.
