Cutlass is a character from "Girls und Panzer das Finale." She is part of the Shipbuilding Club at Ooarai Girls’ Academy and is known by the nickname “Cutlass of the Raw Whitebait Bowl.” She is cool, quiet, and has sharp eyes. Cutlass is the gunner for the Shark Team and also works as a bartender at their bar, “Bottom of the Barrel.” She stands out among her rough teammates by keeping calm and taking care of others. Her cooking skills and reliable nature often put her in the center of many small events. Cutlass is especially known for her raw whitebait bowl dish and her helpful attitude, even if she sometimes ends up in funny or unlucky situations.
Cutlass is a girl with short blonde bobbed hair.
She is 150 cm tall.
She is easily recognized by her frilly headband, cummerbund vest, bowtie, and apron which she wears while working as a bartender.
She wears the standard Shipbuilding Club school uniform skirt, socks, and shoes.
Cutlass is much quieter and cooler than her rough and loud teammates.
She talks very little and usually keeps a calm face.
She has sharp, half-open "sleepy" eyes.
Despite her quiet side, Cutlass is gentle and cares for people, especially when working behind the bar.
She helps friends in need and often acts as the voice of reason.
Cutlass belongs to the Shipbuilding Club at Ooarai Girls’ Academy.
Her full nickname is “Cutlass of the Raw Whitebait Bowl.”
She was born on January 15.
Her nickname comes from both the pirate sword "cutlass" and a special raw whitebait dish, which is famous in Ooarai.
She got her nickname because she often makes this dish for her captain, Ogin.
She ranked 5th in the 2nd Fans’ Vote for the game "Girls und Panzer: Great Tank Operations!" at AnimeJapan 2019.
Cutlass is the left-side gunner for the Shark Team tank.
She has good aiming skills during battles.
She is a skilled bartender at the bar “Bottom of the Barrel.”
Cutlass can cook well, making dishes like simmered fish, sushi, and the raw whitebait bowl.
She is also good at using her knowledge of rules to help the Disciplinary Committee catch students breaking rules.
She works closely with her captain Ogin, and teammates Murakami, Flint, and Rum.
Cutlass often covers for Murakami’s tricks and helps Flint and Rum with their ideas.
She sometimes gets caught up in Murakami’s pranks.
The Ankou Team and the Disciplinary Committee have different interactions with her, sometimes competing and sometimes teaming up.
Bar “Bottom of the Barrel” and Daily Life
Cutlass serves as the bartender at “Bottom of the Barrel,” which is located deep in the ship’s basement.
She makes tasty drinks and food for the club members.
She is particularly known for making raw whitebait bowls, which Ogin loves.
Friendly Matches and Little Troubles
Cutlass joins in a thumb wrestling contest against Mako Reizei from the Ankou Team.
She fights bravely, but Mako’s strong fingers win the match.
Later, during a scuffle started by Murakami, Miho Nishizumi dodges a hat Murakami throws, which ends up hitting Cutlass by accident.
She gets caught in the chaos, even getting hit by more mishaps right after.
If someone eats something too spicy in the bar, like Mako trying the “Habanero Club,” Cutlass kindly serves her cream sodas—many, many cups of them!
Cooking Talent and Bar Antics
In the drama CD “A Day at the Bottom,” it’s clear Cutlass can cook many kinds of meals, such as simmered fish and sushi.
She gets annoyed when nobody uses the new karaoke machine at the bar, mostly because Flint won't let go of the microphone.
Sometimes she is asked to help fetch heavy tank shells, and she nearly sees her life flash before her eyes when Murakami passes one to her with a toss!
The Disciplinary Committee Incident
Once, Cutlass helps the Disciplinary Committee when their leader, Gomoyo, is upset about not catching enough rule breakers.
Cutlass disguises herself by coloring her hair black and wearing glasses.
She uses her “bad-girl knowledge” to easily spot students secretly breaking rules and helps catch them all.
People start calling her “Super Disciplinary Committee Member” and “The New Hero of Ooarai,” but the real leader, Sodoko, does not like this and sets out to find her.
When some angry students try to gang up on her, Gomoyo steps in to protect her.
Luckily, those students actually like Gomoyo, so nothing bad happens.
Comic Mishaps
In the comic series “More Love Love Mission!”, Cutlass sometimes gets left in trouble. For example, when the Ankou Team’s parents come to the bar and things get busy, Cutlass asks for help but gets ignored.
She also occasionally joins in on silly tricks with Flint and Rum, mostly following Murakami’s lead.
Her “soul name” comes from the pirate sword called a cutlass, and also from the revolver named after the sword.
The “Raw Whitebait Bowl” nickname comes from her special dish, which is a real specialty sold at the local Ooarai fishing restaurant.
Ooarai is known for its whitebait and the local tourism board even promotes it as a top dish.
“You want the usual? Coming right up.”
“Cream soda helps with spicy food.”
“This karaoke machine is never used... except by Flint.”
