Kei Kaname

Another protagonist of this work, originally from Houya Senior. From first year to second year. A catcher, right-handed thrower, left-handed batter. Height 172 cm, blood type AB, born on April 15th.

Haruka's childhood friend. Once a genius catcher who led his team to victory with his calm and collected game management, he lost all his baseball knowledge and interest due to amnesia, and his personality changed to that of a natural goofball. Occasionally, his memory returns abruptly, reverting him to his former calm state, but it was later revealed that these changes were not due to memory issues but rather a dissociative identity disorder.

As a player, he was a powerful hitter, batting third at the prestigious Houya Senior. Despite his amnesia, his trained batting skills remain intact, as seen when he hits a double off Makimura's fastball. He hasn't forgotten how to position himself for catching and has been trained in leadership by the wise, although it sometimes overwhelms his brain, he is improving.

Idiot / Master

The goofy personality post-amnesia. His knowledge and skills in baseball are almost amateurish. His teammates describe him as "idiotic" and "thoughtless," and while his careless and goofy actions are frequent, his endearing personality contributes to the team's morale. He chose to attend Koteashi High School because it had many girls. Initially, he disliked anything related to baseball, but through various experiences, he discovered the joy of baseball and began to acquire vast knowledge as a catcher from the "Absolute Notebook" he had written during his wise phase. He is often unaware of it, but he is sensitive to others' emotions and often makes sharp, accurate remarks.

In the timeline of the story, it appears later, but originally, this is the primary personality. Currently, he is striving to become a player surpassing the wise personality, with advice from the wise personality.

Wise

The personality from when he was known as a genius catcher. Confident and composed, he possesses a certain charisma. Armed with skills and theories acquired through extraordinary effort and persistence, he excels both as a catcher and a batter. However, his stoic nature to the point of being ruthless often led to friction with others.

This personality was born from an extraordinary resolution triggered by encountering Haruka's baseball talent at a young age, aiming to make Haruka a top professional baseball player and sacrificing everything else for baseball. This personality, interested only in baseball, could not enjoy the game and faced immense mental strain from negative emotions encountered in pursuing baseball, leading to a dormant state in middle school year three. This was when the primary personality emerged, which was interpreted by those around him as "amnesia." Currently, he has recovered enough to occasionally switch personalities, teasingly calling the primary personality "Master" while dedicating himself to baseball education as he approaches his own disappearance.
