Even though he was like a puppet, he was passionate about archery and taught his son the basics. In the end, when Kamakura was attacked, Takatoki put his trust in Suwa Yorishige to protect Tokiyuki before taking his own life. His tragic fate is a key turning point in the story.

In the story, it’s said he taught Tokiyuki the basics of archery, which later became a valuable skill for the young lord.
Takatoki Hojo died at the age of 30.
