The Dangers in My Heart

Set in Meguro, Tokyo, this romantic comedy depicts the love story between Kyotaro Ichikawa, a gloomy, introverted junior high school student with delusions of grandeur, and Anna Yamada, a popular and beautiful girl.

Kyotaro Ichikawa is a second-year junior high school student suffering from delusions of grandeur, spending his days fantasizing about murder. He believes that his opposite, a classmate named Anna Yamada, looks down on him and particularly wants to kill her.

One day, Kyotaro sees Anna bringing food to school and eating it in the library. Despite her actions being far from the image of a beautiful girl, Kyotaro finds himself unable to leave her alone, though he doesn't understand why, which frustrates him. During a physical education lesson, Anna gets injured, and Kyotaro, witnessing her cry from the injury, finds himself crying as well, realizing that he is in love with her.

On the other hand, at first, Anna didn't pay much attention to Kyotaro but gradually begins to take an interest in him, lending him her favorite manga and actively seeking to interact with him. Eventually, on the last day of the second term, Anna arranges to meet Kyotaro on Christmas Eve under the guise of lending him the next volume of the manga.
