Elizabeth Midford

Daughter of the Marquess of Midford, commonly known as Lizzie. She is Ciel's fiancée and one year older than him. Her height is 154 cm. Her full name is "Elizabeth Ethel Cordelia Midford" (from the first season of the anime, episode 3).

She is Ciel's fiancée and his cousin (the daughter of his father's sister). Although their engagement was arranged by their families, she truly loves Ciel from the bottom of her heart and always acts with his best interests in mind. She has a very innocent and carefree personality, and due to her youth, she can sometimes be selfish and troublesome, but her bright and straightforward love is a salvation for Ciel. She has a weakness for cute things, such as Lolita fashion, and can show a strong rejection towards things she doesn't consider cute.

Contrary to her appearance, she possesses genius-level swordsmanship skills, said to surpass even those of her mother, Frances. After Ciel once told her that a strong bride like Frances would be scary, she decided to be a fragile and cute woman who needs protection in front of him, and became extremely fearful of showing her swordsmanship skills to him. However, after the attack on the Phantomhive household and his return, she wished to be able to protect Ciel instead of being protected by him, and thus, she started practicing swordsmanship again to become the wife of the Queen's Watchdog.

In the "Luxury Liner Arc," she ends up on the same ship, the Campania, by coincidence. Initially, she intended to be protected by Ciel during the "twisted human dolls" attack that occurred in the same arc, but ultimately, she took up her sword and defeated a large group of the dolls.

In the "Blue Cult Arc," she follows her brother to the Sphere Music Hall and ends up discovering the truth about Ciel. She falls into self-loathing, terrified by the fact that she didn't recognize the real Ciel and wondering if she could have loved him the same if she had known he was an imposter. Despite this, she decides to follow the real Ciel.
