Edgar Redmond

The prefect of the "Scarlet Fox" dormitory (Red Dormitory), a nephew of Viscount Druitt. A beautiful young man who embodies the Red Dormitory, where students from noble and prestigious families gather. He has long hair and a handsome face, resembling his uncle Druitt. He is generous and magnanimous, showing interest and inviting excellent and noble individuals from other dormitories. He is also intelligent, as seen when he deciphered the poem's code that accused Derrick of wrongdoing. Throughout the story, his dormitory brothers change several times, and he mocks himself for his lack of judgment.

Initially, when he became the prefect a year ago, Derrick was his dormitory brother. However, after learning of Derrick's true nature through the accusations of a student who was bullied by him, he covered for Greenhill's impulsive murder. He sought help from the "Dawn Society" through his uncle Druitt's connections, attempting to resurrect Derrick and Agares whom they had killed.

In the main story, Maurice Cole initially appears as his dormitory brother. Hearing of Ciel's achievements upon his admission, he becomes interested and invites him to the Swan Palace. This is obstructed by Maurice, but later, after Ciel proves his innocence, Maurice is expelled, and Harcourt is taken in as the new dormitory brother.
